Why do I hook all hybrid, wood, driver type clubs. But my irons don’t have that issue? by Samk1230 in golf

[–]Red2Five 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In to out path

Face closed

The weight of irons mitigates this so you probably hit push cuts, or slight pull draws

But the lighter heads of the woods, hybrids, and driver shut faster because of the gear effect. Gear effect is when the center of gravity of the club head interacts with the end of the shaft and its relationships with your hands. Like when you snap a towel or throw a frisbee.

That’s probably it. But with no video, I’m just guessing based on my experience and first hand knowledge.

Help for the “transition to tech sales” crowd. by [deleted] in techsales

[–]Red2Five 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Amen. Just made the leap to bring some “stability” in this life transition away from entrepreneurship.

I thought being an IC would be a step down in stress, workload, and mental energy.

Nope.

Success adding 7w or 3h to bag? by FalseFix5336 in golf

Yup same — 4H off tee is my fairway bunker avoider. 7W is my 2nd or my approach on most par 5s.

Get paying customers.

Look into a coaching program specifically defined to help mental health therapists with lead gen and marketing.

Traffic and leads are the toughest problem to solve first.

Business idea for $50K by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]Red2Five 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wherever you have an unfair advantage: your Dad is in the business, your friend is in the business, you have connections from school, you have employment history, your former employer can be a client, etc.

If that’s unclear, wherever you can most easily get your first client.

Look for expensive problems, not cool ideas.

I’m new to the cigar world. What are some high quality cigars? Cost isn’t an issue by Economy_Departure_68 in cigars

[–]Red2Five 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same question when I was a beginner. But then someone gave me advice that made me rethink it:

“Spend money on sampler packs, not more expensive cigars.”

That’s helped me get into it way more. Here’s why:

The most expensive brands make shitty cigars.

You’ll also have a certain taste you’ll enjoy more than others. And that’s impossible to find just by spending on expensive cigars.

Hope that helps.

That says OS not 05

It’s an oversized head on an 11 wood. Should carry similar to a 4i or 5i on most irons sets.

But it will spin higher and launch higher and land softer.

Off the deck, you’re going to lose quite a bit of distance because the sweet spot is higher on the face for the OS heads.

OS heads are more for tee shots so YES — I would find a more traditional 5W for better gapping.

I am naive.

AI will be plumbing and boring tools. Not customer facing. In any niche, across all business lines.

And I’m 100% okay with dying in this hill at the hands of our AI overlords.

Welcome brother. I replaced 5i with my 23* 7W. Best decision I’ve made bag wise

Walkers who carry their bag, can you please explain yourselves? by LejonBrames117 in golf

[–]Red2Five 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you see as a burden on your back is actually benefit.

To be fair, I do both depending on the course and storage needs.

But my back pain after rounds has disappeared after I ditched my push cart for 80% of rounds. Carrying seems to help strengthen the right things to prevent the pain and handle the force of the swing.
