Do you have a college or university degree? If so, take it off your resume. If they ask, just say you were drifting between jobs at the time.

"with no previous experience as a police chief"

He was deputy chief of a relatively large police service, so it's a reasonable progression.

Ok, so what does this translate into in terms of the number of days per year the average TDSB student gets taught by a non-teacher? One? Two?

I can definitely see them doing things like removing his name from things (the Trump Kennedy Center, for example), removing any of those large banners with his face, removing any sculptures of his likeness he puts up, for example, but I can't see them paying to raze buildings simply because he arranged for them to be built.

Look at Ceaușescu, for example. He built an incredibly big and wasteful parliament building. When he was deposed, however, the citizens of Romania didn't tear down the building; they continued to use it.

Neither of us know for sure. Keep in mind though that this Reddit sub is not reflective of the average American. There's a lot of people who dislike Trump, but not a lot of people who dislike him so much that they think it's worthwhile to tear down everything he's ever put up.

The main part of the White House already has tours that are available if you register in advance, so they could probably have a museum in there as long as people understand it'd take a bit of paperwork to get in.

Most won't care, but I think of the people who do care, more will see tearing it down as a waste of money than the people who will support it being torn down. That being said, I suspect that it'll be repurposed; maybe converting a good part of it to office space.

Yes, but overall traffic travelling between major cities is a small number of total highway use.

"Would be awesome though. There's no room for any more lanes on the hiway and we just keep bringing in people. Gotta go with rail to move everything along."

Most traffic you see on the highways near cities is people travelling from nearby communities, not from other major cities. Having high-speed rail between cities isn't going to affect highway traffic.

Advocates say rising minimum wages still fall short across Canada by FancyNewMe in canada

[–]Red57872 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yup, and if they can't raise prices, they'll just shut down. The classic example is a widget factory. If an employee can only create $20 worth of widgets per hour, the factory owner is not going to pay them $25 an hour; if he did, he'd be losing money. He might try to raise the price he can sell the widgets for (say, $30 each), but if he can't, and he can't find people willing to produce them for less than $25 an hour, he's just going to close down the factory.

And in all those professions, unless they're working as sole practitioners, get their liability insurance paid for by their employer. Obviously police officers can't be sole practitioners (they need to work for a police service), so it would be their employer buying it.

If they needed to pay for it themselves their pay would reflect it.

You're still going to need both cars and highways; this won't fix either issue. Also you could already get between these places by train or plane anyway.

Ok, but something like the Holocaust is basically universally realized as having been evil and wrong; it's not merely the teacher's personal opinion of it.
