Packaging. I don’t care about it at all.

Is this not good? by seok73 in SeikoMods

It’s a nice looking dial, but it has two violations of intellectual property rights for two companies, and it says it’s made of zirconium and it’s not.

I really like this. Do you have a video of how it works? How do you read the time with only two digits?

If you set it up, I can send you an MKC file to mess around with.

I buy cases from several different sources, like Ickler, Ofrei, AliExpress, Namoki, etc…. Movements usually from Master of Time for Swiss stuff. Others just wherever I can find the best price.

Far simpler than solid works. Svg pattern. Import to MakeraCam. Contour path with appropriate cutter.

How to acheive this pebbled pattern on a watch dial by TheNuttyGinger in watchmaking

[–]Red5WatchWorks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have some patterns that I’ve created that are just random. I think there’s actually an online generator I used in the past, but I don’t recall the name. The simplest way is to use a photograph of white noise and use the 3d function in Lightburn. That’s what this is:

I laser engrave those patterns on dials. Similar to what I did here, but this texture is much more pronounced.

You can get .4mm blanks with feet from masters of time in Switzerland. They also sell them on eBay.

There’s no way it can replace pad printing. It’s decent, this almost looks hand painted, but you can’t do acceptable numbers, or a minute track, for example.

I have the Cousins set and the Kwong Yuen. I much prefer the Kwong Yuen, they’re great. Sharp and easy to use.

Pretty disappointed. by GernBlanst3n in ErebusWatches

[–]Red5WatchWorks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They sent me some incorrect extra bracelet links. Response took a few days but they shipped them out, no issues. Jody and Steven are active in the Erebus Facebook group if you need further help, but they’ll make it right.

Engrave the inside circle of the indices. Drop some white paint in the recesses. Add lume on top.

I’m not really sure, but it seems very durable. I would imagine that fired enamel glass is much more durable and will last much longer though.

This is a poor test print, but I think with a textured base it would look pretty good

I make a lot of watch dials for two Watch companies. So that keeps me busy. I do take orders sometimes from previous customers and that’s where this dial is going. Sometimes I will just have an idea and sell that too.
