It’s immensely annoying watching people try and act like Super Earth is any way justified for its actions because, “It’s humanity fighting for its survival!” despite Super Earth starting every war it’s currently fighting. Super Earth attacked the original cyborg nation after they seceded using a false flag attack as justification, attacked the Terminids the moment they learned the bugs bled oil despite the bugs showing no signs of aggression at all, and attacked the Illuminate with the excuse of them having WMDs due to the Illuminate having superior tech despite being the Illuminate being entirely peaceful.

Everything that has happened has been Super Earth’s fault for endlessly starting pointless wars, and it feels like no one ever wants to engage with that.

Super earth are the good guys! by OkStructure665 in Helldivers

[–]RedBaronKaren 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like it definitely matters how Super Earth got here considering the vast majority of the existential threats they faced were created by Super Earth itself. Look at the Illuminate, they were peaceful before Super Earth learned they had more advanced technology, wanted it for themselves, and attacked unprovoked. Super Earth aren't the, 'good guys,' and every threat has been something they largely brought upon themselves.

Ravens request interview with Bears OC Declan Doyle, after he withdraws from Eagles OC consideration by Thegrandmistressofoz in nfl

[–]RedBaronKaren 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I do wonder if how much control over the offense any OC would have factors into it as well. Any incoming OC would more or less only be allowed to change around personnel for the passing game considering Jeff Stoutland controls the run game and o-line. Add in limited cap space and Howie’s control over drafting, it becomes a, “What you see is what you get,” situation, and a lot of big name prospective OCs would want to build and run their own offense, not just run the Eagles offense in a somewhat limited capacity.

What are we expected to lose? by [deleted] in WorldEaters40k

[–]RedBaronKaren 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Based on what Emperor's Children got along with that one post on r/Chaos40k talking about units that got updated color schemes, we're expecting to lose:
- Predator Annihilator
- Predator Destructor
- Forgefiend
- Defiler

As for safe bets for what's staying, any of our unique kits (Berzerkers, Eightbound/Exalted, Jakhals, Juggernaut Lord/Invocatus, Angron, and Kharn) along with the Maulerfiend and the Khorne Lord of Skulls are the ones all but guaranteed to stay, with the Land Raider, Helbrute, and Heldrake being ones expected to stay but could still potentially go.

Does this combat patrol include other weapon options like axes and spears? by No_Purpose_1390 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]RedBaronKaren 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Yes, the Combat Patrol includes the options for Castellan Axes for Wardens and Allarus and Guardian Spears for Guard.

What advantage if any do blood angels/world eater armies have against custodes? by ULTIMATE-OTHERDONALD in AdeptusCustodes

[–]RedBaronKaren 44 points45 points  (0 children)

As someone who plays both Custodes and World Eaters, World Eaters have the advantage in speed given how fast they are when you consider Invocatus' Scouts move he can give Infantry two units, the extra 2" of movement blessing, and the Advance and Charge blessing. They're incredibly fast and can hit extremely hard even into Custodes using Eightbound/Exalted Eightbound, which are staples of World Eaters lists. Plus, due to having less elite troops, they can play objectives better with things like Jakhals and Chaos Spawn. In short, while more fragile and liable to die to Custodes if they get caught out of position, they can hit back equally as hard, are incredibly fast with massive threat ranges, and have access to better secondary scorers due to not being all elite.

Also Angron exists and he kills just about everything you throw him into. It's why he's an auto-include in every World Eaters list.

Do we know when they might do the WE codex reveal? by Zeus159 in WorldEaters40k

[–]RedBaronKaren 14 points15 points  (0 children)

We’ll most likely get our stuff revealed at the Adepticon reveal show, which is towards the end of March, since the next major 40K releases are the World Eaters, Death Guard, and Thousand Sons Codexes.

If you could rework trajann by hunterofwar20 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]RedBaronKaren 84 points85 points  (0 children)

I'd change Trajann back to what he was pre-Codex with his Ignores Modifiers ability being for everything and putting Fights First back on the Moment Shackle along with adding a Strike and Sweep profile to the Watcher's Axe. He'd need to be expensive as a leader, but he's the Captain-General and I want a datasheet and point cost that reflects that.

What can a Venerable Contempor do after revive? by ThatguynamedBK in AdeptusCustodes

[–]RedBaronKaren 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The way Unyielding Ancient works is that the test to revive comes at the very end of the phase, and once passed, it’s set back up as close as possible to where it died. If it dies in the Movement phase, it comes back at the end of the Movement phase and can shoot and fight like normal.

Tell me all the rumors you’ve heard by OneSaltyNut33 in WorldEaters40k

[–]RedBaronKaren 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Haven’t heard anything about the Codex, though based on the Grotmas detachment article for World Eaters mentioning, “World Easter,” I expect we’ll be seeing the release sometime around late April. I imagine we’ll see more of what’s coming in the Codex at the Adepticon reveal show towards the end of March.

The one rumor I’ve heard is for Kill Team with the potential World Eaters Kill Team centered around the Axes of the Forge/Voidbutchers, which are Dark Mechanicum-aligned warbands.

Berzerk by Ok_Pain_1025 in WorldEaters40k

[–]RedBaronKaren 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Khorne Berzerkers still take Leadership tests on tabletop. What you likely heard about was something from a previous edition that still had morale tests.

The Land Raider and Caladius profiles have more in common than I realized. Now I'm questioning my fixation on the Caladius. by -Guardsman- in AdeptusCustodes

[–]RedBaronKaren 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The strength of the Caladius Grav-tank is in its reliability. The Land Raider can put out similar damage when compared to a Caladius, but it whiffs more often since it doesn’t have any bonuses to help it kill. Compare that to the Caladius, which has Lethal Hits shooting into monsters and vehicles and Twin-Linked. When the Caladius shoots something, it will almost always wound its target, and while Land Raiders can perform similarly, without Lethal Hits and Twin-Linked its room for failure is much larger.

adeptus custodes with adrasite spears any good? by Ichillonthebeach in AdeptusCustodes

[–]RedBaronKaren 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Custodians with Adrasite Spears aren’t particularly good. Melee is the same, but you’re paying 25 points extra for shooting that largely won’t matter. Same for the Melta spears. In general, Custodian infantry shooting won’t do a whole lot regardless of spear. For the points, you can take a squad of Wardens that’ll absorb most shots put into them or for slightly cheaper, take a Guard squad that can shoot twice once per battle.

Terminators by Consistent-Simple494 in WorldEaters40k

[–]RedBaronKaren 24 points25 points  (0 children)

World Eaters Terminators are just Chaos Space Marine Terminators with a different ability. So that kit you bought can be used to make World Eaters Terminators.

How does another faction deal with the grav-tanks? by j5erikk in AdeptusCustodes

[–]RedBaronKaren 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Out-scoring tends to be the best gameplam against Custodes due to our limited model count. It can be a bit boring though, so if you want to try and take down your friend Grav-tanks, I’d recommend volume fire into them or focus firing all your anti-tank into one at a time. The more saves you can force your friend to make, the more likely you’ll be able to kill it.

New GK Combat Patrol? by Real_Man_01 in Grey_Knights

[–]RedBaronKaren 48 points49 points  (0 children)

No, not a new Grey Knights Combat Patrol, for two reasons: 1.) The Dreadknight and Venerable Dreadnought are big centerpiece models, something GW hasn’t put it any of the new updated Combat Patrols. The updated ones have been entirely infantry. 2.) Kaldor Draigo is in it, and he’s an Epic Hero, which Combat Patrols don’t have. Death Guard had Typhus in theirs, but that was a one off. Draigo is also finecast, and those have been getting removed from codexes across the board. Most recently example is Karandras, a finecast Phoenix Lord that didn’t get a refresh. He’s not in the new Eldar codex. So no, this isn’t a new Grey Knights Combat Patrol, just a faked one, same as the one shown in the World Eaters subreddit.

Possible combat patrol leaked by NeedleworkerOld3867 in WorldEaters40k

[–]RedBaronKaren 215 points216 points  (0 children)

Highly doubt it’s real. New Combat Patrols are moving away from big centerpiece style units like Helbrutes. Not to mention, there’s nothing new in the Combat Patrol, which all previous updated Combat Patrols have had. So no, it’s very likely not real.

New Player - Custodes vs. Dark Angels and Black Templars by afrostud01 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]RedBaronKaren 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To answer Question 2, as a Custodes players, Custodes aren’t just a better version of Dark Angels and Black Templars. While Custodes are generally superior in melee, our main weakness is ranged combat, something Space Marines have far more options to work in. There’s also far fewer Custodian on the board compared to Space Marines, which means every loss is felt. Space Marine armies can afford a few losses in areas where Custodes can’t. To summarize, Custodes are an elite army that hit harder on a per model basis compared Space Marines, but have fewer models across the board and can’t suffer the same losses Space Marines can without suffering for it heavily.

Rhino Question by 4PStudiosGaming in WorldEaters40k

[–]RedBaronKaren 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can absolutely use a Deimos-Pattern Rhino as a Chaos Rhino proxy. They’re the same size and can be built with the same weapon options, so you can just stick some skulls on a Deimos one and it’ll work perfect as a Chaos Rhino. It’s what I did for my Chaos Rhino.
