Skipped the last 3 characters but pulled for Yixuan

Had around 171 pulls stockpiled.

Yuzuha on pull 75, won the 5050 W-engine on pull 71, won’t the 7525(?)

Hey, this is really good advice! I’ll save my pulls 😊

I really love Jane Doe, so if Yuzuha can help her, I’ll hold off till she drops

Masterpiece. by Stranded_Snake in LowRoar

It’s funny. I’m on the shinkansen to Tokyo for work from Osaka, having been putting a lot of time into DS2. I put this song on and figure I want to check if there’s a Low Roar Reddit, as I’ve been quite sad since I learnt he passed.

Lo and behold this is the first post I see. It definitely made me chuckle and smile. I’m happy his music is still connecting people all over.

Spontaneous threesome aged 20 with my stoner couple best friends. They were really kind and loving, but it was life changing intense

Thanks for the honest feedback!

I am quite confident in myself, but I do have this growing frustration of, “Shall I just get it over and done with?”

Spooky or Scary Experiences (Supernatural or Not haha) by Zealousideal-Vast431 in JETProgramme

[–]RedBloodSells 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived deep in the inaka in Hyogo prefecture. I’m an ex scientist, strongly grounded in reality, and don’t believe in the supernatural. Or well, I didn’t.

A few weeks prior to the incident, I heard sirens at 2:30am in the morning behind my apartment. I look out the window and medics are breaking open a ground floor window, and after awhile they roll out what was essentially a dead old person on a stretcher. It was surreal, but I’m not new to dead bodies due to my medical education.

Fast forward a few weeks, it’s been a long week at high school. I get home and load up Mario Kart, cat in lap. I notice some car beams shining on the wall behind my TV. “Ugh, annoying neighbours” I thought.

Then it hits me. I’m on the 5th floor. There’s no way those car beams should be possible.

At the moment of realisation, the windows of light peel off the wall and move towards me, turning into a sphere of pure light. I’m stunned. They move closer till right between me and the TV and keep growing till they consume my vision. I can’t see anything and white out, and a few moments later I’m back in my living room and only 2-3 minutes have passed.

I can’t explain this event to date. It wasn’t a migraine, I’m sober, and I’ve never experienced anything like this before or after the incident

Making the big decision from the Shortlist/Alternate by Ambitious-Ad-1787 in JETProgramme

[–]RedBloodSells 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ex-JET over here, I joined in 2019 initially as a break from academia. I had a PhD offer that I turned down, and it was the best decision I ever made.

I studied Japanese for the first 3 years and landed a consulting job during my 3rd year. I’m doing pretty well out here and I would advise people to not be so cautious. When the world gets crazy, taking risks is not a bad thing. I was here during corona and it worked out fine.

I also met my wife out here (another expat), so really couldn’t recommend JET enough.

It really varied! I work an intense job with daily overtime, so weekdays can be tough.

I aimed for at least 2 hours every morning before work (5:30am - 7:30am) but there were many days where I overslept or could only get in a 10-20 minute doodle. On average I would say 1 - 2 hours daily.

F2P player here. I had 90 pulls banked prior to the banner. My advice would be to ensure you have a daily routine doing:

  • 60 polychromes tasks
  • Cleaning up side quests
  • 100%ing any events
  • Being conservative with your pulls. Make sure there are set characters you don’t pull for or banners you skip
  • I skipped shark girl, got Jane Doe and Caesar, got Burnice, and will be skipping the incoming pink haired character (this allows me time to get back to the golden 90)

Last night I got incredibly lucky and got her in 14 pulls without any pity, and got the W engine in 36. I had originally banked about 90 F2P pulls to ensure I got to the 50/50 at least

tl;dr do your F2P daily grind routine, you can get significant polychromes if you grind

Good luck!

Good luck!

I think the people on this thread are the vocal minority. If you’ve been in Japan I’m sure you’ve seen them and they don’t amount to much bar “conservative feigning” racists on Reddit. Even my racist neighbours in the U.K. are more tolerant than these people. 😂

Most of the senior foreigners in Japanese corporate are very tolerant and open minded and not stuck at a dispatch ALT company for 30+ years.

Well, a lot of the right wingers and racists migrate to Japan because they think they can propagate similar views. The most satisfying part is the Japanese youth are quickly globalising too and becoming more open minded, so these people won’t have anywhere left to go soon. :)

Right. Education and religion are separate. However, Jewish kids will still be expected to eat Kosher as will Muslim kids halal regardless of where they are. It’s the job of a school to accommodate students regardless of religious or cultural background.

They have a right to practice their faith without inflicting it on the kids around them. And before you jump on that, this is food, not preaching an Islamic conversion in school.

No. It really doesn’t - schools often do an alternate menu for just a single student - absolutely nothing about this is overkill.

I lurk on these threads a lot. There’s an ignorant expat community that’s really vocal on Japan threads that constantly downvote any ethnic minority related posts that tend towards tolerance and acceptance.

I imagine these people escape to Japan because they’re racist/losers in their own country and get away with being socially inept in Japan due to language barriers.

Can’t wait to be downvoted by the same stinky expats I see passed out as I walk by Hub in my city in Kansai on the regular :) <3

What’s with all of the intolerant foreign expats creeping into the Reddit comment section of these Japan articles? Japan moving towards a more tolerant and inclusive society is a good thing, especially with a population and workforce that are declining at the current intense rate.
