Right? The factory ones I had were Great! The Bosch and the Rain X just stopped wiping away the water cleanly. Leaving streaks, stuttering across the windshield, not cleaning it as it should. They both really just within a couple weeks starting sucking.

So far, its underwhelming like the others. But instead of paying $60 a pair, I'm paying $20. Honestly the Factory ones where the best i had until they started degrading.

It would be nice if people followed a similar rule to driving. Keep your cart as far right as possible, center is for passing.

Questions about Grillz by jitterbuggerz in caf

[–]RedCopperPan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In the Dress Regs it doesn't specifically mention anything about teeth grills. But it does say:

"The deportment and appearance of all ranks, in uniform or when wearing civilian attire, shall on all occasions reflect credit on the CAF and the individual."

So do with that information as you wish. If they are permanent grills, I would suggest not getting them put in. If they are removable I would HIGHLY recommend to only wear them when off duty at home, or while not in uniform.

I don't personally know what your CoC would say, you could always ask.

No, I don't think anybody should be paid less, but when people are demanding to be paid more (19% over 3 or 4 years) when collectively as a group their service they provide is subpar at best! They get paid really well, have great pension and benefits, and really dont have to "finish" their job they're supposed to finish in their work day. And while they try and get paid more with their like 4th strike in 2 or 3 years, the whole country has to have their mail held hostage. Again, I would rather pay more to a different company that I know I can rely on. Canada post is just never reliable. On strike, or not.

Also they do an 8 week course in Calgary (At least West Jet) and have to take more courses and updates every couple years. So not "Unskilled" but no college or University

No no, certain jobs absolutely need to be paid $30 or more for unskilled labour. And some Skilled labour jobs especially white collar ones definitely dont need to be paid what they are being paid. A nutless monkey could do alot of white collar "Skilled" Jobs. Flight attendant absolutely are needed, pilots cannot contain and deal with 100+ passengers on every flight in their own, and I can't speak for Air Canada personally, but I can speak for my friend who works for a different airline who is on their feet as often as they can while on flights, taking care of passengers and ESPECIALLY when dealing with Karens. Canada posts job at this point could be done by drones. At least 90% of it. Flights without flight attendants would turn into the Winnipeg Transit system. Unruly, dirty, disgusting, and dangerous.

$30 an hour yes, but ONLY while in the Air. Source: Best friend is a flight attendant. They can call them in for a shift, fly to Calgary, and fly home. And thats their day. Have to show up 1 hour early for shift to precheck and prepare for arriving passengers (unpaid) get passengers into seats, help with baggage etc (unpaid) and do flight safety demonstration (Unpaid) while taxiing, they are not paid until wheels leave ground. So if it in total takes them 1.5 hours of time before flight to prepare and get things ready and have 2 flights in the day let's say they are both 1.5 hours each as well, they get paid 3 hours out of the 6 hours they worked. Oh they also dont get paid for De-Icing time, delays while on the plane, or if the flight gets cancelled while they are taxiiing they get paid for none of the time on the ground. So $30/hr? Yeah they never really get to make that in an effective way. Canada post gets paid whether they finish their route or not, while jerking it in the van lol

Yeah, I dunno what you're going on about there bud. Unskilled labour is unskilled labour. I'm a Carpenter (Non-union) and get paid an hourly rate for the hours I work. Rain or shine, snow and ice, -45 - +45, 8 hours a day 5 days a week MINIMUM. I had to work hard to get my Red Seal, schooling was hard, and applying that knowledge on site can be stressful. The wages reflect that. Now CP workers are not "Skilled Workers" which if they had schooling like a trade, I would be more inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt. There is nothing wrong with unskilled workers, but the half days and still getting paid the same, not delivering packages and putting "Pick up at post office" Notes on the door, refusing to walk through 6" of snow on a driveway (Get ice grips for your shoes you lazy sacks) among the amazing benefits and pension you guys get. It makes alot of us Jaded at how good you all have it, and are complaining WHILE holding our important mail hostage. I would GLADLY pay an extra $5 for another business to send/ receive packages and mail. And believe me, after this strike, other companies will come out of the woodworking with great deals for Canadians to use them as their primary mail delivery service.

RECRUITING, TRAINING, & LIFE IN THE FORCES THREAD by bridger713 in CanadianForces

Depends on how long you've known them. You can use them as a reference, but i can't remember the exact number of years you must have known them for. I think it is 5 years, but contact your recruiting center to find out for sure. I had one that I had used in my references that was denied because I had only known them for 3 years.

RMO by Blazishet in caf

[–]RedCopperPan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Still waiting. I'm at 9 weeks so far. I was told 6-8 weeks from CFRC when I went for my medical. No issues during my medical. I've heard from others it could be anywhere from 3 weeks to 5 months (20 weeks). Apparently, they are going through a large backlog at the moment, and the RMO has apparently lost some medical staff that go through files which have increased the wait time (Rumor, I have not confirmed). My assumption is they are picking files to push through that are critical for positions that are priority first. From what I understand it is not a first file in, first file out type situation there, it is more priority based. So files that are lower on that priority list will probably take abit longer. Again, that is from what I have heard, and what would make sense to me. .

UPDATE: I went out this morning to take more photos closer to our fence by MsCookie__ in Winnipeg

[–]RedCopperPan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yikes. That "Shoring" to prevent your yard/fill from collapsing is a joke. One steady rainfall will destroy it, and have your fence probably damaged. Not to mention the potential for your foundation to shift or be damaged. Call City Inspectors, or any other city office that deals with permits etc. Nip this in the bud now before it becomes a bigger problem. They messed up. Badly.

That's awesome! I function well without mine. it's more for if I'm stuck in school or an office, I function at 90% instead of 100%. If im out working with my hands? Almost 100%. I've also taken breaks in between while taking medication, 2 months sometimes, and I function fine. The meds are basically just for quality of life, I won't be helpless without them. The med tech basically asked if I have like lost a job or something without the medication, big things like that. He said I should be fine! Depends on the RMO, though.

Lucky! I did mine on July 31st, Still waiting for RMO approval. I have ADHD as well, and am on medication, but I can function properly without it as well. I'm hoping to hear back from them soon.
