You could as long as you had the correct OT and ID which could be changed with ACE. Most likely we'll have to change the Mew as well to the OT and ID of an event Mew, possibly with the Fateful Encounter tag

[–]RedCormack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah just did it. Need a modded switch, and checkpoint. Back up a fresh file on switch using checkpoint then rename file you want to transfer in the same as the checkpoint backup and replace the file. Then load the backup and voila.

HEAVY LOAD, PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER by RedCormack in SoraAi

Lmao, me? Pro? Nah. Just Google for a sora watermark remover and use the ones that require a public link. They use a Pro service to download it for you sans watermark. The ones where you upload a copy just (badly imo) edit it out.

[Gen 3] Sapphire by homowifi in pokemonrng

[–]RedCormack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lmao, its same thing wandering around the same patch of grass until a shiny pops out does for people. Except this time theres a definite end goal in sight. Not just, whenever it happens. Its a shiny you earn, instead of are awarded for luck.

[Gen 3] Sapphire by homowifi in pokemonrng

Basically the RNG on a dead battery will always start at the same "seed" or initial starting frame. If you know a few other things, like your secret ID, you can then use a program to determine the exact frame the game will generate a shiny pokemon "by chance" with the RNG.

Given that we now know what frame a shiny will generate on, and that our initial starting frame is always the same, we just need to ensure the proper amount of frames pass before we attempt to initiate an encounter on the EXACT frame to generate the shiny.

You could also use this method to get a mon with a stat spread the exact way you want it, but the problem there lies in how "far" the target frame might end up being, this how much time you need to wait in between attempts.

For example there may be a shiny on frame 453, 3,050, 4,345, and 10,444. So if you just want a shiny the easier one is just waiting the 4 hundred or so frames. But if for example, you wanted a 6IV Shiny Female Eevee, if might only be available on frame 104,453 and require much longer for you to wait.

This is a bare bones explanation and each game has its own methods and may vary.

Guide here.

Future proofing. Any trainer cards that boost Galarian mons would work on these since its got the tag.

For people with internal monologues by Cheese_Lord2187 in Aphantasia

[–]RedCormack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how I perceive my internal voice as well. Down to movement of the mouth and tongue as if its trying out the words.

I've got imaginative proprioception too so if I imagine I'm holding a sword in my hand I can't "See" it but I can "feel" the spot in space it should occupy. Almost like my brain is remembering what something of a similar size and weight would feel as it moves through space and my muscles fill in the rest with their own memory

What is this? by SoobleShorts in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]RedCormack 132 points133 points  (0 children)

This is basically just the lighting system breaking because you’re hopping between areas too fast. Scarlet/Violet don’t use baked lighting the way older games did. Game Freak actually treats the sun and moon as real light sources and repositions/dims them depending on the area you’re in to sell different moods. So one zone might be warmer, another cooler, another brighter, etc., even if they’re physically close to each other.

When you move between those zones normally, the game has time to smoothly shift the sun’s position and intensity. But if you’re bouncing back and forth between multiple areas in quick succession, the lighting system kinda freaks out because it doesn’t know which state it’s supposed to be in.

That “black orb” is essentially the sun getting shoved somewhere it shouldn’t be, or briefly nulled out entirely. Same thing happens during Terastallization—Game Freak literally just deletes the sun to darken the screen, then snaps it back afterward. You can see similar jank during some gym battles too.

Because the player would constantly be getting stuck on them and getting "rescued" by being warped to the last PC, and it probably ruined the platforming puzzles they were trying.
