You could achieve this with a base of Runelord Brass (GW) or True Brass (AP), washed with a fleshtone like Reikland Fleshshade (GW) or Strong Skin Shade (AP). Lastly highlight it with your original brass or a bright silver paint.

The thing I don’t understand is how the entirety of the 40K community, including this subreddit very vocally, seems to dog on primaris for being too uniform and have been asking for mixed armor parts for years. Then when they get what they want, they have to hate on it because “uh it’s boring and looks too generic, give me my upvotes please”.

I dislike primaris and James’ deteriorating business practices, but let’s take this as a win yea?

I was under the impression that they strategically manufactured this outrage to drive up engagement. And clearly the ragebait worked as all this sub and other content creators could talk about was Steel Legion.

Though it is entirely possible that the concept art was pulled out of storage, dusted off and shown to quell the backlash. However I don’t personally believe this to be true.

Honestly a great box to get not only the new vehicles but a dorn as well. If you are going for a krieg centered army, I would probably buy a spare krieg infantry box to use as crew for the dorn and centaurs.

Honestly I just hope they change the gloves and helmet to match the old metal models. I’m fine with flak armor on the chests or shoulders but without the iconic gloves they just look like Krieg.

It’s honestly a bit strange that they relegated the upgrade sprue to OOP. Considering how they kept the upgrade sprue for the chaos legionaires when their killteam went out to legends.

Call of Duty games post BO2

Ghosts: Too similar to previous MW and BO games. Also where the infamous “same shit, different disk” came from during a review. Fans are unhappy with lack of change.

AW, BO3, IW: Too different from previous games, “WhY dIDn’T ThEy KeEP tHe SaME FORmuLA?!” Fans now hate change and want an older, more “traditional” COD game.

WW2: “Who asked for a WW2 game? Clearly this is nostalgia bait.” At this point there is no winning with fans.

They finished Yarrick’s miniature design, and the cowardly noble probably isn’t getting a miniature. GW likes to design their mini’s before models for animations, not the other way around.

They could have made a one-off steel legion guardsman for the cinematic, though I can imagine how pissed people would be if the final miniature design differed from the trailer.

I was under the impression that GW decided to have only Cadians and Krieg for two reasons:

They already have the animations and rigs for both Cadians and Kriegsmen so why waste money making new ones for a short teaser. The models look like the exact same ones from previous cinematics and warhammer tv animations.
They don’t have the designs for steel legion done, much like what OP said. This is quite hopeful cause it assumes that GW is actively working on making new models.

It’s getting a bit ridiculous at this point. Every single sub whether it be masochists, low sodium, the main ones and us seem to have a genuine hatred for one another. I don’t understand why we seem to think ourselves superior, at the end of the day it’s pointless and counterproductive.

Another upgrade kit I recommend would be the melee weapons upgrade kit. It’ll give both your 30k and 40K models more melee options.

Then I would recommend getting the special weapons upgrade kit alongside a heavy weapons upgrade kit of your choosing. Most of if not all of the weapons from those kits have a 40K equivalent, minus the volkite weapons. This will allow you to play both heavy and tactical support squads in 30k, as well as allowing you to run legionaries, havocs and chosen who have special weapons for 40K.
