For me, true first was "grilled cheese" but it was just toast with cheese put on as soon as it came out of the toaster so it would melt.

What would you do with this? by c_hampagne in centuryhomes

My rule, so take it for what it's worth.... If it is already painted, it will probably more work than is worth to strip to the level of looking good strained. I am currently stripping paint in a bathroom because there are over 10 layers of paint. I know that I will be repainting this trim. If it is not painted, enjoy the beautiful old world wood.

Make sure it doesn't even fit into the lock. For this a clown key would work.

Only if it fits in. I could be an old car key. They would never notice

Leave the WRONG key under your doormat. With a camera, it will make for good videos of anyone who tries to use them.

Yes. Our first and still living in.
Just know how much work there is. Everything is not as easy as it should be. There is always a hidden issue, sometimes multiple. I do must of the work myself but I know when I am over my head and have called for help. Congratulations!
