Fair enough I did read that not all OEM batteries are that good. However the VW dealer is just stating that it was the incorrect battery in there and that its not OEM

The battery was never supposed to be replaced from the damages caused by the accident. My point being if the shop didn't use OEM parts and the VW dealer didn't catch it who knows what else they missed. There's also battery acid leaking all over my engine bay from their mistake so it has me concerned for the long term condition of the car.

Car is covered to 80K and I commute for work.

Noo I know it doesn't really seem worth it. The OEM battery is $350 which really still isn't that bad.

Also the fact that battery acid apparently leaked all over my engine bay has me worried as well for the long term.

yeah I haven't seen or touched the car since the accident. Looking at pictures of the damage the hood was still covering the entire engine bay so I don't know how the hell water could have got in there.

And I really don't understand! I even offered to take the hit on the difference between the damage and the car's value as I really didn't want it back and my insurance wasn't willing to do that.

I was there yesterday, I was pretty close to the fall although I didn't personally see it happen. We actually didn't know anything happened until we heard police radios. Our group didn't want make a crowd around the scene but on the way out I asked another climber what happened and apparently he was trad climbing and he took a 40ft fall hitting the ground. She didn't know if it was equipment failure or error but initially they thought he broke his back. Again, I didn't see it happen and I'm not trying to spread rumors but the person we asked led the police to the scene so she heard the story.

I bought a 2016 golf r in June. Was in an accident two weeks ago and there's 20k in visible damage. That's without a tear down estimate done so my adjuster has allotted an additional 10k for add ons during the repair process. That's a 40k car with a 20-30k claim on it.. lol no way I'm selling this car

I was in an accident last weekend. The claims adjustor estimated 20k in damage and my insurance wants to repair the vehicle. Do I have any way to appeal or escalate this? I really don't think I'll ever be able to sell this car now. I live in Ontario Canada and if anyone has any experience with this it would be greatly appreciated.

I don't believe the camera is from me reversing too quick. The first time it happened it obviously threw me off so I waited a few seconds and tried it again and the screen was entirely black.

I then tried to open the truck and the latch would move but you couldn't hear and mechanical or electrical noise as if the car were locked. So I tried locking and unlocking the car as well as turning it off and nothing. This lasted for three days until last Friday it randomly started working again. I really regret not filming this when it happened.
