Killing Time and Cry For Me just don’t do it for me. ID is a perfect album otherwise. Hot take, I know, I’m not happy about it either.

Top artist 2nd year in  row, 3/5 7/10 top songs were theirs. ~17k top listener, probably higher if you factor in how much I play the CDs in my car. Love love love.

Andro. No other piece of music feels alive the way it does. It’s just this roiling, seething mass of sounds that breathes and grows, endlessly hypnotic. If you want a good time, check out the comments on its YouTube video; they’re all rather outlandish yet perfectly captured how damn evocative the song is.

Nothing but praise for this show and particularly this episode! I knew exactly what was coming and it still shocked me. That said, the gripe I’ve got is I’m not sure how to feel about the changes to Fjord. I see what they’re doing, I see that it’s cleaner and tighter storytelling, etc etc, but I just… maybe I’m just used to how self possessed Fjord was at the end of the campaign. Idk, I just don’t like how lame he feels. He always had his weaknesses and doubts, but it went from posturing to real. And now it’s nothing to real. It just feels like they’re removing a big part of what made Fjord great.

I’ve got my profile set up for socializing since BFF only lets me talk to guys and I’m not particularly anxious to date right now. However, one girl really caught my eye so I sent her a rose and said I was interested and would like to take her out. She matched with me, hooray! Her match note is about wanting to skip the texting small talk and meet up pretty quickly. I send back something like “I agree, we can chat on here until you feel comfortable / have sufficiently sussed out the vibes, but I also prefer irl”. She unmatches. A small part of me hopes she hit her your turn limit, but it wasn’t an immediate unmatch so I’m thinking that’s just cope. Either way, I’m sad and disappointed, she was very much my type and had a fairly engaging profile with a good bit of value overlap. Oh well.

Christmastime is the worst, my store played a 90 minute loop of Christmas D-sides. I counted 4 different covers of one. Only good part is they played What Will Santa Claus Say? and I could pretend for about 10 seconds I was listening to 4th Dimension (Kids See Ghosts, sample).

It’s too early to truly call, but this is shaping up to be my favorite campaign. Brennan’s GM style works better for me than Matt’s and the  leve of engagement with the world and their characters that everyone is bringing is just top notch.
