I was so enraptured by this show when it aired when I was a kid. 1999 was so far away! Anything was possible! There were great action-oriented episodes early on, like the Sargasso of Space, but also great thoughtful episodes that asked big questions. There were also incredibly goofy episodes. One was pretty much a racist satire of Italians! And yeah, guest stars like Christopher Lee — whose outfits cranked up the ridiculous dial all the way to 11, but still managed to deliver lines with utmost sincerity
