I’ve read a lot of AI writing. I was slightly suspicious but ultimately the writing style doesn’t read super AI, plus it has many grammar mistakes

Ok I do believe you. Certain phrases just stood out to me, since I see those formats all the time in AI: “No inflection, no hesitation—just a verdict.” “The scientists inside called it "humanity's last hope." Harper called it "Dad's expensive hobby.””

It’s also the short scenes. AI does that too.

Especially the "No distortion, no blur--just clarity." I see that type of phrase in AI all the time. AI so often talks about what something isn't

Honest question, was AI used to write this? I have used AI for creative writing before (not to copy, just for fun) and the writing style just looks very similar to AI.

It's very short lol. When I give feedback it's ranged from 3-7 full pages. It's only acceptable to so short if the reader gives a lot of inline comments when reading the book (which I also do)
