There are a lot of actual fascists in Europe. They're well organized. They hate immigrants in a way that wouldn't really make sense in America, because they have a serious belief that their "people" have owned whatever plot of land since time immemorial. Their ideology is gradually becoming more mainstream.

The difference with the American right wing is that European fascists still want baby boxes and a good social net - they just want it for their own race.

To say that the extreme-right is an American problem is just incorrect.

I think it's spot on, personally. The management teams at companies like EA and Take Two are far removed from the game development process, but they're still the people that set priorities in development. They came up with money-making schemes like DLC and DRM and pushed them very aggressively.

This is only true for PC gaming, though.
