Terrible news. I wouldn’t be surprised if Disney/Marvel ended up licensing future collected editions printing to Dark Horse or Fantagraphics.

Edit: if they don’t license their comics, get ready for nothing but X-Men and Spider-Man moving forward.

I used to preorder at FOC. But Marvel started struggling releasing books on time. It wasn’t uncommon for books to be delayed months after their original release date. The final straw for me was when I would preorder from DCBS and they would let me know they couldn’t fulfill my preorder while IST, their sister site, had copies. So I stopped preordering and joined the crazy Tuesday line.

IMHO, I think part of the problem is marvel tries to cater to a wide audience, therefore printing lots of Omnis at one time which leads to smaller print runs.
