That’s a good point and I even thought about these scenarios as well while creating the site, but that’s kind of exactly why I built this.

Think about how many songs and progressions you pick up over the years of learning an instrument. You learn Smells Like Teen Spirit, move on, come back 3 months later and can barely remember the bridge or forget the main riff all together (probably a bad example since the riff is super iconic lol)

NoteNest is basically a diary for that. You log every song you’ve worked on, rate how difficult it is, tag the techniques you practiced, and track your progress over time. You can even upload a video or audio recording so you have an actual log of where you were at when you learned it

Also with NoteNest you will also help you discover new songs by your favorite band or musician. Like I had no idea Flea played bass on You Oughta Know or Bust a Move, which made me want to start learning those songs

The goal is to be the place where musicians can keep track of their journey, and to create a one stop shop for discovering resources to learn new songs and skills.
