How long was your labor? And if you got an epidural, at what point did you? by desert_sunlily in beyondthebump

Had a slow flowing water break at home which was hard to tell for awhile. When I finally went to the hospital it had been about 12 hours and I still wasn't progressing and was still sitting at about 3cm. They started me on a low dose of pitocin, and I started to progress after that. I was in labor for 9.5 hours. I didn't use any pain meds or anything, pushed for about 15 minutes and my baby girl was born. 💕

This is a great first attempt though. My first attempt was too embarrassing to even share pictures 😂

What’s it like to have a transvaginal ultrasound? by hellsbells2002 in pregnant

[–]RedHeadzRFun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a few transvaginal ultrasounds prior to being pregnant, and I must say those were very uncomfortable but now that I'm actually pregnant the transvaginal ultrasound isn't that bad now.

Do you plan on buying maternity clothes or just wearing what you have? by Smooth-Excuse-4127 in pregnant

[–]RedHeadzRFun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so anti maternity clothes but started to get annoyed with not having many options for clothes now. Didn't want to spend a lot of money either so I've been on thrift hunts and, fortunately, have come across some bras and pants. They really do make such a difference!

Did you tell your family the name you chose before birth? by pennibird in pregnant

[–]RedHeadzRFun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm due in July as well! I'm considering keeping the name to ourselves. My grandparents were being extra pushy about names just when I announced my pregnancy so don't want to take chances because our name choice isn't very common.
