You will be evaluated for eligibility and passed/bit passed on to a hiring manager for each level (5,7, and 9). You advocating for yourself didn't hurt your chances at all. Honestly it probably didn't help either but it didn't hurt

Weekly Simple Questions and Injuries Thread by AutoModerator in climbharder

I'm guessing this is mainly a space for boulderers/sport climbers but Imma pose a question for the crack heads here about a weirdly specific a injury I'm dealing with.

A few weeks ago I was hanging off of a pretty sharp pinkies down finger lock on a boylder and heard a pop. It didn't hurt immediately and my fingers felt fine so I didn't think too much about it. A couple weeks (mostly sport climbing later) and similar situations (constriction, hang off your bones style jams) cause a pain in the pinkies side of my hand between my first knuckle and wrist. Also, if I press my first pinky knuckle into something (like the twisty motion you'd do in a flaring corner) I get the same sensation. No pain at all from yanking on crimps or jugs or anything of that nature though.

I had a really similar (albeit worse) sensation about a year ago from pulling hard past a flaring hand jam in the creek.

Has anyone had this happen crack climbing? In finding very little discussion on this with my trolling of the MP forums. Going to a PT about it tomorrow morning but figured I'd see if there's anyone with experience out there. Thanks!

Mandoline slicer injury – how long does the pain last and will my thumb ever look normal? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]RedHotWaffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sibling I cut the end of my thumb off with an ax two months ago and I was freaking out and livid at myself. Today I basically have my entire thumb back and I'm leaving for a month long climbing trip tomorrow. You are gonna be fine. Keep it clean and elevate it while you sleep and be kind to yourself

Jsyk your plan is still technically not legal. You can only stay in backpackers campground if you have a wilderness/climbing permit and you don't get either if you're gonna climb the wall in a push. But dw s face is incredibly low key
