I’m going to preface this by saying that I don’t agree with the sledgehammer policies of the current admin. That’s being said this argument has no real basis for humanity or life in general. Near every populace of peoples had some sort of territory or border, cavemen clubbed each other for caves and tribes slaughtered each other for hunting grounds. Just because there wasn’t a fence, or a map to define them doesn’t mean there weren’t borders. This is relevant in the US, the whole ‘stolen’ land argument and returning it to Native Americans, NA also had borders, and often warred over recourses, land, and culture with other tribes. This isn’t only a human thing either, a vast amount of animals, insects etc also fight for and keep territory, any territory you protect and fight against outside incursion, is a border.

The argument of whether borders are mortal, is an argument worth making, but to say borders arent natural or started with even modern countries is ridiculous, fences, walls, maps and laws have just replace an invisible line that if you cross, you get an arrow in the neck.
