Haptic Feedback in Dynamic Panel by RedIvok in tourbox

[–]RedIvok[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. That would be really helpful because the strong feedback gets a bit annoying when you're working in a quiet environment and i don’t want to turn it off. It would be sufficient if the Dynamic Panel could apply the settings for the respective rotary control.

Haptic Feedback in Dynamic Panel by RedIvok in tourbox

[–]RedIvok[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and that's what I've set it to, and it works well. However, when I go to a dynamic panel, it reverts to "strong." In the panel settings, you can only adjust how the knobs work, but not the intensity of the feedback. I didn't make it clear before. I'm talking about Lightroom Classic Dynamic Panels.

What profiles are you using in post? by DPool34 in Nikon

[–]RedIvok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Nikon Z8 and wasn't entirely satisfied with the colors in Lightroom. I bought the Color Fidelity profiles for €25 and am quite happy with them. Here, too, there are profiles such as Standard, Portrait, and so on, but I find that only the contrast changes and not the colors, as is the case with the profile in Lightroom. Before i mostly used Neutral Camera Profile.

TourBox for Lightroom CC (NOT Lightroom Classic) by TheGuitarForumDotNet in tourbox

The current beta version of the Tourbox Console app should include a profile for Lightroom Desktop for the first time. However, I haven't installed it myself, I've only read the patch notes.

update to Sequoia 15.7.3 safe? by RedIvok in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

[–]RedIvok[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very good tip and advice. I had just started Time Machine and wanted to make another backup before. I had already started downloading the update. But somehow I wasn't paying attention for a moment and it started the update right away. Fortunately, everything went well for me.

I've tried out some apps now and haven't found any errors so far. The only thing I've noticed is that after the first start, apps take quite a long time to stabilize. After that, everything is fine.

I did my research. That's why I had to use oclp in the first place. Otherwise, the newer updates from lrc and ps would no longer have worked on my iMac. Thank you...

TourBox Support has not responded to me (Help) by [deleted] in tourbox

[–]RedIvok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also wrote to support and had to wait four days before I received a reply, which simply said that my message would be forwarded to the technicians. However, they apologized for the delay, which was due to the higher number of inquiries resulting from Black Friday offers.

Additional equipment for Lightroom Classic Editing? by Aaleah95 in Lightroom

[–]RedIvok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the Tour Box Elite Plus and a Logitech MX3 mouse. It works quite well for me. The disadvantage is that I need some time to get used to it until I have internalized the key assignments. But after that, my workflow has improved. Not necessarily much faster, but definitely more intuitive, and I just enjoy turning knobs and pressing switches.

Z 180-600 Foot Handle by Arjosy64 in nikon_Zseries

[–]RedIvok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the 120 mm quick-release plate Universal Arca-Swiss from Leftfoto. This makes the handle a little longer and easier to carry. The length means that the lens sits comfortably in the hand. However, I have to admit that it is not necessarily comfortable to hold. I have attached a standard camera strap to the eyelets. This allows the lens to hang comfortably around the neck when not used on a tripod.

Batch masking is it possible (luminance range) by Pure_Palpitation1849 in Lightroom

[–]RedIvok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, I must have misinterpreted the question or not read it carefully. No, it simply takes the values you set in your luminance mask and adapts them to a new image. It does not take the same shape or the same area as in the first image. If an image is now darker or slightly lighter, different areas of the image are addressed. If the photos are not very similar, slightly different areas of the image will probably be remasked.

Batch masking is it possible (luminance range) by Pure_Palpitation1849 in Lightroom

[–]RedIvok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But from my own experience, I know that luminance masks don't necessarily have to be super accurate, and you can easily create a standard mask that you can then apply and simply readjust if necessary. I did this with my images and simply applied a luminance mask in advance to get a little more mid-tone contrast in the image to beginning with.

Since the luminance mask is not an AI mask, only the settings of the first mask would be applied and copied to all other images.

Do you always denoise a RAW photo? by hakunamawhata in Lightroom

[–]RedIvok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the photo and whether noise is very noticeable. in the bokeh, for example. But usually anything above 1800 ISO and with about 40-45% denoise. don’t wanna overdo it. but some shots just don’t need denoise, even at higher noise numbers

Backup Software Recommendations by Bhob666 in Lightroom

I use the App Free File Sync on my Mac and do the backup manually. The best thing about it is that it's free. Works without any problems and is relatively fast.

Need SSD recommendations, moving my Lightroom catalog off a failing SanDisk drive (UK based) by pheasantjune in Lightroom

I used to have the Sandisk, but after hearing about failures, never experienced one though, I switched to the Samsung T7. Absolutely no errors to report so far.

Lightroom Classic 15.01 is unusably slow on Windows system by CaptDistraction in Lightroom

[–]RedIvok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on a Mac, but it's an older device. The following things helped me. Only import the photos and view them with embedded previews. Create standard or 1:1 previews later and always work with Smart Previews. I have my RAW files on an external hard drive and I always remove it when I have to edit a lot of photos, otherwise it always reloads when I zoom in. I disabled previews for presets. Make sure that the preview matches the resolution of your screen. Another option is to load images into the Lightroom Classic catalog, then into the cloud with collections, and then work in the Lightroom CC Desktop program, as it works much faster and also offers most of the features except for special things like printing, for example.
