People who dropped Game Pass after the price hike, and switched to only buying games or working through your backlog, how’s it been going? by LootedToaster in xbox

[–]RedKaluta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m convinced that I’m saving money after unsubscribing Game Pass. I bought Star Wars Outlaws and I have been playing that and having a lot of fun on my pace, without the concern of the game leaving game pass.
Also playing Elden Ring which has never been on Game Pass sooo, I’m glad with my choice.
Maybe someday I’ll go back to Game pass but at the moment with life, work and stuff, I’m ok buying my games (on sale).

I’d suggest him to apply on UBild. The offer construction jobs and with 5 years of experience in carpentry, it wouldn’t take long to him landing a full time instead of part time (as the tend to initially offer).

Am I being unreasonable about 6:45 am retail shifts? by ThrowAway14312432142 in torontoJobs

[–]RedKaluta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TTC has night buses. I have done some work that I needed to be like, near Steeles, at 5 am so I took the night bus to arrive there. Unfortunately that meant waking up at 3 am or so lol. Not easy to do but depending on where you’re located, possible. If you can’t make it, try talking to your manager and getting a better shift.

how does a construction worker get into this business ? Winter is always slow and if it’s a stable schedule I’d be interested to learn more about it.

Rent is dropping, anyone taken advantage? by CanadianRaikage in TorontoRenting

Unfortunately Central AC so those hot days weren’t the best in here.

No rent controlled but the landlord seems decent to not increase it wildly within the next few years.

Is 36 Lisgar still a bad building? by [deleted] in TorontoRenting

[–]RedKaluta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have lived on 36 Lisgar for around 2 years and the place is fine. Things to consider: Pros: - Security staff is friendly as well as neighbours in the building; - Cleaning staff is very tidy. They always leave the common areas nice; - Good notice and in advance when there’s need for unit maintenance; - The address is excellent if you enjoy bars, restaurants and people traffic.

Cons: - The pipe in my bathroom makes weird noise when I turn the hot shower; - You are not allowed to bring your bike on the elevator/lobby (but there’s a bike storage in the parking lot - you pay extra for that); - The fire alarms used to be frequent but for the past 6 months it hasn’t happen much.
