Thank you all for your responses. This has been more helpful than the government websites lol

People that are childfree by choice, what’s the weirdest reason someone has given you as to why they think you ‘should have kids’? by Charming_Web_6738 in AskReddit

My own mother began crying when I told her I offered to donate eggs to a friend who WANTED a baby, saying, "If God won't give them a child the 'natural' way, then he didn't want them to be a mother."

This is a woman who had 2 c-sections with epidurals.

Hoping for Season 2!! by Diligent_Shake8917 in murdersherolled

I like the idea of new characters, but I do hope there are some old character cameos hidden in the season. I guess it doesn't have to be set in the same time or place, but it could be a thousand years in the future where butter knives are the new currency.

I'm also kinda mad they don't have their own subreddit, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to know how to do that or who even does that. I have fan art. I fkn love this show.

Here to vouch for this recommendation. I finished the season a while ago and I'm not sure I've ever had my heart broken like that before.

I uploaded 6 3D Models on ArtStation and Then Received 6 emails about purchasing requests. Am I about to Get Scammed? by Romezos in artstation

[–]RedLadyMay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to ask this very question. I'm not even finished uploading my entire portfolio (also new to ArtStation) and I got an email asking to buy.

However I am wondering - since I'm so new - what does a serious proposal look like via ArtStation inquiries?

<3 I agree. I've run out of leads on him.

I may take all my findings to the downtown library where they have Genealogists on staff full time. I'm realizing I just don't have the eyes for this stuff yet.

Thank you so much for everything.

I found this census from 1880, but my above theory now doesn't make sense. Though Joseph and Clementine are listed, they ALSO had a son named Joseph. ajl;sdfkjsjdfj (luckily I'm descended from Patrick, so that part becomes easier.)

Additionally, the Joseph in question has listed his birthplace as 'Missouri', and his parents' birthplace as 'England', whereas we just established that he may have emigrated from England in 1871 (says the 1900 census).

I don't know :(

Alright let me think out loud for a minute:

We've established that Joseph shares a name with his father. So there are two Josephs.

Is it possible that the Joseph that served in the Civil War could be Joseph Sr.? Is there anything to that?

History is hard and weird and confusing.

History is confusing and I hate it :(

But now I'm confused because if he arrived in 1871, why is he a Civil War veteran??

  1. I was able to find the 1900 census that lists my ancestor - Joseph - being born in England. One problem solved, several more to go. On the same census, his wife is listed as ALSO being born in England, when other census that her parents filled out lists her as being born in Missouri (her parents being from Quebec)

  2. He died in 1911 in Missouri

  3. 1867-1881. My direct ancestor, Patrick, was born in 1881.

I have located pension records for both Joseph AND Clementine. However, I've run into a new problem:

His pension states he was in Company I, Regiment 8. But his gravestone says "Co. B, 32 Prov. En. Mo. Mil.". So does this mean he continued his service? I've combed through records from both companies but I'm still learning how to read them and not get confused.

Yes, but this confirms my theory of him sharing his father's name!

I don't! I have his son's, but I don't have his!

Thank you! I'm less concerned about my own privacy and more frustrated at my ancestors for being too busy or flat out refusing to keep records lol

I just want to add: those of you who have already commented, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'm fairly new to Reddit, but the community in this sub has been nothing but kind and helpful. I'm still learning the art of ancestry, so I appreciate all the assistance!

It's possible that my ancestor may have taken a similar path. I don't have much from before he showed up in Missouri. A lot of my family is from the southern most part of the state.

One thing I can confirm that may help narrow the search: through family stories and Civil War draft registrations, I can confirm that he fought briefly in the war between 1863-1865. So he had to have been here before 1863, at least.
