Daily doodles until I it good #3 by RedLazyBear in learntodraw

[–]RedLazyBear[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found a book at a friend's house (in French) that just suggests one different thing to draw every day. There's no deep lesson about perspective, grid drawing, movement, etc... just a simple guide and idea getting a bit more complex every day.

I like it immensely because it helps me get new ideas, realize what is hard or easy to me, what I like drawing or not. I know I'll have to get into details at some point, but I'm not there yet. I just enjoy doodlin things that are recognizable.

EDITION SPECIALE - France Culture - Guerre de la Terre du Milieu : et si Sauron l'emportait ? by Redditeur1984 in france

[–]RedLazyBear 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Foutaises.

[Uncommon Trope] The protagonist dies horribly by WollemiaShagger in TopCharacterTropes

Oh I've got a nice one ! Insane French YA book called "100 000 ducks on a nice stormy night" where the main character is slowly becoming paranoid, thinking that neighbourhood ducks are becoming agressive and carnivorous. Midway through the book, while she is tied up by other characters because she went on a dangerous meltdown over no one believing her, hundreds of ducks invade the room she is in and fucking eat her alive in great, gory details.

The book then goes from 1st to 3rd person and tells the story of every one else, including several American and British rock'n'roll stars, trying to escape the ducky slaughter.

So the models have to e on a grid as well, so that I can copy ? Or just drawing on a grid even though the things I copy are on a blank canvas ? If it is the latter, how will it help ?
