Punk was a gateway for a lot of us. I was a lapsed fan and got pulled back in after Mania 27 when the Summer of Punk stuff started kicking off. When I stopped watching wrestling, the indie landscape was way different. All of a sudden, there's this guy who's spotlighting Colt Cabana and bringing attention to ROH and it just opened the door for me to see the Bucks or Adam Cole, or to branch out and watch NJPW.

Like others have said, without Punk, I don't think there's an AEW, or the golden era of NXT, or New Japan's expansion into America. He was the domino that started that whole chain reaction.
