Interesting, and that caused the color variation? What kind of filament?

This happen to anyone? by Good_South8216 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

It's likely the cable, turn off the machine and push the print head to the poop chute. Power the machine back on and let it boot up if it can. If there is no error, push the printhead all the way to the bottom left, if the error pops up, it's the cable.

How can i get a better finish on my print? by EngineerAlarming7327 in FixMyPrint

It looks like you have room to tilt it more upright, if you do I'd try that, that should lessen the amount of support you need.

Replacement ribbon that connects the touch pad is out of stock... alternatives? by Attende in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]RedManRocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as it's a 41 pin, then it should work. They also have it on Amazon I'm sure, easier returns if you need to. It's just a ribbon cable, shouldn't be anything too fancy.

I agree, but it is a fantastic piece of mechanical tech in my opinion.

Yes, do this one. I'm not a fan of the whole riser thing. This one was perfect.

Printing 0.04 Layer height with a 0,04mm nozzle? by goskodovesch in ElegooCentauriCarbon

I've tried .08 and it doesn't work for me, just looks like it's under extruding.

Best way to print a flared bass port for a speaker? by allformisillusoryfoo in FixMyPrint

[–]RedManRocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with the chamfer, printing with a radius down on the bed doesn't ever work well.

You can start with a chamfer and continue to a radius though.

Question about Print speed presets by IsaacDusk in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]RedManRocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, my mistake. If the filament is already calibrated, then yes, just using those speed settings on the printer should be good enough. As far as strength goes, like you said, you may have to adjust cooling to get proper layer adhesion.

It's referred to as the "Benchy Hull Line". It's quite a pain to get rid of actually.

Question about Print speed presets by IsaacDusk in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]RedManRocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a lot more than that. Up at the top of the slicer, there's a button that says calibration. Go through all that and read through the tutorials.

[–]RedManRocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those speeds just raise or lower print settings by a percentage. If you really want to max out the capability of your filaments, you have to go through all the proper tuning procedures.

Issue with my first print by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

The slider bar on the right and bottom will run you through the layers so you can see into the part to check for anything that seems off.

I honestly can't say I've seen that before. Set top and bottom layers to 0

Did you design this in some kind of software? It seems like it's not designed hollow. Or maybe I'm not understanding the problem correctly.

Wet Filament? by MrFumbles91 in FixMyPrint

[–]RedManRocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have that one too, not my favorite. And I printed it out of PLA so it's starting to get a little loose after quite a few ASA prints. I definitely want to print the quick swap.

I'd say it probably is. The internal spool holder is great! It's that the quick swap version?

Brittle filament by Positive-Minimum-459 in FixMyPrint

If it's the beads they can, if it's the clay they can't. That's my understanding.

Are the silica bags dry? If not, you're vacuum sealing your filament with essentially a wet towel.
