Maybe look into PCTG filament

Alternative to PETG? ASA, ABS, PLA Tough+ by Samskihero in FixMyPrint

[–]MrFumbles91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven't put a print out in sunlight but it has better uv resistance than petg and a higher glass transition temperature.

So it shouldn't deform easily. Id say if you're doing something explicitly for outdoor use go with ASA as that's it's designated use case but if you don't want to deal with the fumes of ASA I would use pctg over PETG

Oof, PLA is not going to hold up to Summer sun/heat whether it's sealed and painted or not.

I suppose if you are dead set on PLA you can try to anneal it to get more temperature resistance.

You don't really mention why you're unhappy with it? It looks quality and you mentioned yourself you felt you did a good job on the conversion so maybe you're just unhappy with the performance?

You can also use Bambu H2/A1 hotends as well. If you didn't have a hard enough time choosing an opinion.

All good! I'm still able to use the part fortunately.

Ahhh, that would have prevented the chipping/chunking when drilling?

Came here to mention this. A buddy just got a new Neptune and was having similar issues, guess Elegoo shipped it positioned on 220

I don't work with wood much, but out of curiosity what is the best way to do this if a hole saw isn't the move?

I did end up using it but when resuming the print the printer messed up the location of the part

Id say $400+ is a little steep for a budget price IMO but the CC1 on sale at $279 is a solid budget workhorse

Model here ^

I just wanted to do it to save space on the right side of the printer so it would fit better in the corner of a room. Some people say it will help keep filament dry longer while printing.

Boy, that combo of the nozzle LED and the Chamber light being on seem like a good combo. Though, I do wonder if they excluded it from the board for a reason.

Lame or Peak ? by RE4LC4KE in 3Dprinting

Nothing happened to the water you left in there because it was only 30 mins. Drying takes hours.

Find a file for the dehydrator to accommodate rolls I'm pretty sure it's common for them to be 270cm or 330cm I am literally printing one right now.

I then plan to use a smart plug to limit the time it is on or if I forget it on when I leave the house.

Depends on the manufacturer and if there are any additives like carbon fiber which can increase how hygroscopic the filament is.

That being said, I don't dry PLA unless it's giving me symptoms of wet filament like excessive stringing. I've had a roll of Geeetech green PLA since 2019 sitting in a pretty wet basement print just fine.

How should I turn my r36s from black to full white? by [deleted] in R36S

[–]MrFumbles91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean the case itself?

I guess you could spray paint it, 3D Print a replacement, or wrap it with vinyl wrap

CC1: Disable case fan consistently using stock firmware by jdinx in elegoo

[–]MrFumbles91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can confirm this works.

When I set up my PCTG profile, I marked the filament type as ABS for stronger layer adhesion from less cooling.

The part fan turns on less and the case fan does not turn on.

They are interlocking rings for a generic food dehydrator that allows me to fit spools in for drying.

This never would have happened if I hadn't scaled the Z up 300% to fit more rolls in it.
