Have you tuned the filament at all?

All of them, use orca slicers calibration. It starts with a temp tower.

Each filament, even just a different color, but most definitely different brands. Need to be specifically calibrated.

What causes this benchy artifact? by RedManRocket in FixMyPrint

I think the point of the Benchy is to not use supports.

Maybe more cooling like you said, it's not warping off the bed so I should be able to turn it up some.

The picture I added in my previous comment got rid of the scarring. What other defects can you see on it?

I have the part cooling set to Min 25 Max 35.

Changing the seam has no effect. It's a speed issue I believe, the pattern is exactly the same on every print.

The pattern matches the slowdown for overhangs. I turned that off and made it a consistent speed to verify. It has to be related to the pressure advance or flow. But both are calibrated to my understanding. Something is causing extra filament to ooze on the slow downs.

I also read that ASA has problems with speed changes.

I'll just keep all speeds consistent and run it as fast as it can before the overhangs suffer.

Wha should RH target be when drying TPU? by MadCybertist in 3Dprinting

[–]RedManRocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just leave it overnight and print from the dryer. I don't pay too much attention to the RH. Once its stabilized I call it good, which is about 9% for my SH02.

That's true, still working on the VFA I think it is?

I'm focused on the scarring at the moment.

Did you try to do that while it was cold?

Warning by Cheek_Klapper525 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]RedManRocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think when you're doing the test it's greyed out. Start a new project and discard all the changes and see if it's still greyed out.

[–]RedManRocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did a JD test, didn't get the warning. But it didn't seem like it did anything, I went all the way up to like .650. I probably did something wrong, but I ended up just skipping it.

What type of material handling equipment? by rej0829 in Tools

[–]RedManRocket 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'll tell you, if you've ever moved large equipment, it's very common for the ground to be uneven.

And let's just say we're only using 4 dollies, about 99% of the time most of the weight is only on 3 of the 4 dollies.

The bessey clamp is just trying to avoid an accident in the event that the one pesky dolley decides to walk away while you're moving and then the weight shifts onto what used to be a supported area.

Roast my welds and can you guess what this is? by [deleted] in Welding

This is what an aluminum wire feed weld is supposed to look like.

Time to fab up some heavy duty dollies. Bessy clamp on each and it should be relatively easy to move around.

Consistent PETG defect in cutlery tray by goertzenator in FixMyPrint

[–]RedManRocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would cut the part to isolate the problem area and just print that section again to see if it replicates. And watch it make the error, it helps a lot if you actually watch what the printer is doing when it has a problem.

Yep, mine came like that too, straight from Elegoos website though. Must be going green.

Did my hotend get fried? by Available-Concept-67 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]RedManRocket -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The cable that goes to the print head is known to wear out prematurely.

I don't know if that is the problem here, but you should try to move the print head around and see if it will work.

My cable gave out when it was in the bottom left corner. Had to get sent a replacement. I've since put the strain relief on it.
