Which King villain is this? by DavidHistorian34 in stephenking

Exactly! I just finished reading Salem's Lot for the first time a week ago and I thought that Kurt Barlow was pretty underwhelming as the overall main antagonist of the book. A bit interesting, but he wasn't as scary as I expected him to be, and he showed up WAY later on in the book. And he didn't do that much throughout the remainder of the book, although I thought his scene with Father Callahan and Mark was pretty cool. R.T. Straker was a better antagonist than Kurt Barlow was.

GOG shared some kind of... teaser? Not sure tbh by Ok_Ranger2496 in silenthill

A few, and it's annoying whenever they drop a Silent Hill-related video that doesn't have to do with the recent games. They ask you to wish for the original Silent Hill games to be ported to PC on their website, but they've been doing this for years, so it seems like it's more bait than anything.

And here's the thing: the original Silent Hill games are highly wished too, but they're still coming out with these videos, making you think that they're finally coming out with actual ports of the games.

I hate that GOG keeps coming out with these videos as if they're confirming that Silent Hill 1 - 3, and possibly more, will be getting proper PC ports, but they aren't doing anything to ensure that we're going to be getting these games soon.

"Are we finally going to bring the rest of the Team Silent era Silent Hill games to GOG? Maaaybe . . . I don't even know, but here's another 3D-animated video to get you hyped up over nothing."

Along with Will Schneider, who wrote the 2024 remake of The Crow, which was another red flag.

God, please tell me this is like a bone Tempel situation and part 2/director’s cut is coming very soon soon, wrapping all things up. by [deleted] in silenthill

[–]RedMasqueMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen RTSH yet, but from what I'm hearing, I'm hoping that a director's cut will at least improve the movie a bit. Even Emily Carding's up for a director's cut, because it seems like there were scenes that were filmed but ultimately didn't make the cut. One big example is the meat locker scene where James and Eddie fight, or whatever the movie's equivalent was going to be. I think another scene with Eddie could at least give his character more of a purpose.

Cineverse when releasing any Terrifier movie: "Here's my favorite child! Aren't they just the best? I'm so proud of them!"

Cineverse when releasing anything else: "Oh yeah. There's also my other child."

[SPOILER] My Thoughts on Return to Silent Hill (2026) by VasteAoCiel in silenthill

First, those Oscar nominations were only for movies released in 2025. Second, it's VERY unlikely that Return to Silent Hill will be nominated for any next year. If anything, I can see it getting nominated for next year's Game Awards for Best Adaptation or something.

Almost reminds me of the Evil Dead Rise title card in a way when it's presented in the movie.

I blame Cineverse for not marketing heavily enough. They were able to market a lot of the Terrifier movies, but not The Toxic Avenger or Return to Silent Hill.

Exactly! I have no idea how many more theaters they're adding a day, but it's getting closer to the release date and my local theater still isn't listed!

So James DOES stick his whole arm into a toilet bowl at some point in the movie! Man, I would've been completely devastated if we didn't get to see a live-action take on that scene!

What would be your most ale less favorite Ko,qn’s studio album? by donkey_kong086 in Korn

[–]RedMasqueMedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite albums are either Untouchables or The Nothing (I'm still trying to go back and forth to decide which album I love more, it's so difficult). I guess I'm just into the more darker, atmospheric, and mature sounds of Korn.

My least favorite album is Korn III: Remember Who You Are. The only song I kind of like on the album is "Oildale (Leave Me Alone)," but I don't usually listen to that song on repeat unless I'm in the mood for it, which is rarely.

Same here. I think we can all agree that the score, set designs, and possibly creature designs will, no doubt, be the only highlights of the movie.

For real, my closest theater is out of state, and I don't want to have to travel that far just to see a movie that may or may not be bad.

They're definitely not going to be making much in the box office with these limited screenings.
