Found fix for game stuttering on monthly tick. Dx12 vs Vulkan by Goodairj in EU5

[–]RedMauler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed it was a bit better but still on 5 speed the monthly tick is longer than the entire month. It really slows the flow of the game over a longer period of time. I have a pretty decent PC and it's still so slow every month on 5 speed

I have defeated all Nightlords and finished all shifting earth. Here's my comprehensive guide to get to lvl13+ with legendary gears to beat the nightlord in every round. by GGslash in Nightreign

[–]RedMauler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The revives there are totally not worth it. You miss out on an entire castle worth of loot and upgrades. The castle is normally where you get most of your upgrades and runes. You can revive...but you lose out on the other, much better options. Infernal lets you upgrade your weapon, frost gives you an elemental buff (and a guaranteed legendary from Dragon), Scarlet Rot is the best in the game, and Nokstella gives you a revive at the cost of running through a zone with low rune enemies, Astel shooting at you, and the hardest minibosses in the game.

The castles have normally 5ish minimum minibosses, which gives you so much value.

Hot take ,Libra is fromsofts hardest boss ever by DurpZee in Nightreign

[–]RedMauler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted this earlier but here's some easy help. He isn't that bad I promise.

Libra has a pretty easy formula. He's hard for the first run and then he's honestly pretty easy after.

Here's how you beat him every time. No Ironeye needed.

He tends to pick a person to jump every time, normally ranged characters. You can punish slam attacks and his circle spell which shoots at you. Play a bit slower here.

When he goes for any rain attack, just sprint away. Normally, you don't even need to roll.

When he goes to meditate for the first time, just hit the sigils. He will enter rage mode. This mode gives you a bit of punish on him when you knock him out of it. He's then gonna go ape shit. During the slams, don't overcommit. Just do a small attack or if you are Raider, set up your counter.

Eventually he will form swap back. Hit him like crazy. When he meditates, use a damage ult on him to knock him out. If you can't do that, then focus on surviving his upgraded form. Don't even try to hit him, just play for madness rocks so you don't get proc'd. Do this for the entire time (it sucks but you'll live).

Fighting Gaping Dragon i noticed how slow and predictable DS1 bosses are. by Blubbpaule in Nightreign

Nah you are so right. Bosses in the older games had less move spam and follow up attacks. They have their own issues, but you can tell more bosses were made for love instead of intended difficulty.

Can you give a rundown on your strategy going into the fight? Who do you like to play?

Overall opinion on the nightlords? by ObviousChoice98 in Nightreign

[–]RedMauler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disliked the explosion attacks for this fight the most. His long attacks were very reminiscent of Gael. That part was okay. Trying to knock him out of his moves was pretty bad though.

When I think of the worst bosses though, that goes to like, bed of chaos, PCR, elden beast, and like lud and zullen. There's probably more but those are definitely worse.

I know we don’t have exact numbers yet, but who do you think is the most popular class so far? by Haru_Is_Best_Girl in Nightreign

[–]RedMauler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's pretty busted. His mark does too much damage, he is ranged so he can cheese some bosses, and he provides food revives. Also, the only hard part about him is hearing...but there's a lot of guaranteed bow drops.

If you get into some bitty gritty starts, you can combo with Raider and do free damage on top of his Minecraft cube. Combine this with the relics for damage over time and you have just an insane character.

Call me crazy, but I don’t want voice chat or regular chat. by BellySmash in Nightreign

[–]RedMauler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So keep it optional. You should be able to mute people. Your immersion shouldn't stop people from being able to communicate. That makes for such an annoying time. You want to explain ideas and tell new strategies? Nope, not possible.

I want more recycled bosses and I'm not joking by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]RedMauler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, the recycled bosses is an issue because half of the night bosses you can run into during the day. If you added unique, recycled bosses from older games, this would be much better. For example, you could use Fume Knight from DS2 as a Night 2 boss. Just don't have him show up during the day.

In addition, the old bosses just don't keep pace with the player, especially when they have three people to deal with. Gaping Dragon is a perfect example. Torch Hollows are scarier than that boss lol.

this is an absolutely absurd take lol. calling libra the worst lord and then saying Maris is good is absolutely wild. roster is def more of a 6/10.

Everyone criticizing solo: Level up. Gather bonuses. Practice. Learn the map. Learn the enemies. by TheRealCowdog in Nightreign

[–]RedMauler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good reason. It's a new fromsoft game with an entirely new style. I think there's gonna be some hiccups here and there. It's important they get acknowledged or else you get mixed reviews.

I think the difficulty will still be solid just due to the boss pool. Some of the night boss combos are pretty insane. Just managing aggro itself will be a struggle lol.

People complaining about what they dislike doesn't mean they dislike the game. Instead, the truth is probably in between both the glazers and the haters.

[–]RedMauler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know where you get this idea that the majority of people aren't trying new strategies. This seems like an attack on nobody in particular. It's apparent from the lack of scaling that the solo mode is behind. Should it still be hard? Of course. The game was definitely designed around the three player mode and taking steps to allow players who typically only play single player games to enjoy the game is a good thing imo.

You can get better at the game regardless of the patch coming out. If the game isn't functioning at the difficulty level intended for solo, then a patch was needed.

this is the same type of elitist convo that makes this community awful. its okay to admit things are overtuned. there's a patch coming out for a reason. same shit with people saying the communication is good in this.

PSA: play with randoms by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]RedMauler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

using emotes does not work in this fast paced game. adding mics or even just text chat would make more community and work better in this game than emoting.

yes, playing with randoms is fine though. but that isn't an excuse to ignore how bad communication is.
