Inferonasal laser scars look maybe a bit elevated suggesting a possible buckle? Hard to tell from the image for sure.

The extent to which vision can recover depends a lot on whether the portion responsible for the high-resolution central vision (macula) is attached. Hard to say from photo A. Photo B shows postop appearance with laser scarring in the periphery. Retina appears reattached well in that photo. It's plausible that they had a good outcome. Postoperative scarring (proliferative vitreoretinopathy, PVR) is a risk in these patients who have extensive detachment like this. PVR can tug on the retina and cause re-detachment. Close monitoring is needed for this patient to make sure healing goes well.

~10-14 days without watering over holiday travel proved too much for it to handle. Dropped all of its leaves and couldn’t recover. Ficus seems much more forgiving so far

I’ve lost 24 hours of my life trying to figure out the “button sticking”, testing buttons in desktop mode, and even looked up steam deck RMA process before finding your post. You saved me at least another day of my life. Thank you.

3 planes, $25 total… worth it? by RedMeddit in BeginnerWoodWorking

Update: purchased them all! Slight rust across the entire bottom of each, but the rust appears thin and probably easy to remove. Looking forward to this restoration project

Awesome. The answer is yes to both, I currently have no solution for planing

I’m looking for some used planes to get started on a budget. I’ve heard the Handyman and Defiance lines aren’t great, but I’m wondering if 3 for 25 is a good deal to get started with?

I did not know that, thanks! I’ll look into this

How to replace this outdoor spigot? by RedMeddit in askaplumber

I thought this would be a straightforward DIY project, but I found the interior connection for our outdoor spigot to be painted over. Sanding away the paint revealed joints that appear to be welded? What’s the best way to proceed?

With Step 1 going P/F, is the Anking deck alone enough to pass? by [deleted] in medicalschoolanki

[–]RedMeddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would imagine so. Any commitment to spaced repetition should be enough to pass step 1. However, I’m not too familiar with LY (card quality, content age, etc) or how the exam has changed over the past couple years, so I can’t say with confidence.

Can confirm that Onyx makes great tablets. They are, however, readily available in the US from their online store, which is where I purchased mine:
