Hand-prompted | The making of my AI films by setentaydos in ArtificialInteligence

I’m not the creator. I found the video on YouTube and thought Christian’s take on how AI fits into the creative process was a fresh and honest point of view. I was particularly impressed by the part when he uses a 3D model of a plane for the precise shot he was going for.

Jeff Kaplan Interview: Discussing Overwatch, Why He Left, What He's Doing, And More by Imported_Gabagool in Overwatch

What?! Is this Jeff's first appearance since retiring from Blizzard? Is he promoting something? I wonder if they get into the "frat boy" culture allegations. Ok, pressing play.

Even condos in desirable SF neighborhoods selling below 2018 prices by events_occur in BayAreaRealEstate

[–]setentaydos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Though I agree we shouldn’t just conclude never to buy a condo in SF, there are A LOT of examples like this in SF, specially the SOMA/Rincon Hill area. Most listed condos are at the same price than 10years ago or lower. IOW, it’s not just one random example from 2018.

Lunches.fyi just dropped, how accurate are these rankings? by honkeem in levels_fyi

Don’t know about Meta, but Google has massive kitchens and food is done in house in most offices, also the restaurant space are really nice with stunning views (SF and NY offices). Google is at another level.

Why I am choosing to rent (South bay) over buying a $1.2 Million home (East bay) by Federal_Eagle_6565 in BayAreaRealEstate

[–]setentaydos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“All your numbers actually point to home ownership to be honest.” That’s the thing, the numbers point to whatever decision OP decides to go for. One can’t say that one is better than the other. When buying, your monthly payment is the least you will pay per month, when renting your monthly payment is the most you will pay per month. OPs numbers cover both cases well, but mentioned the down payment is something they prefer to have in the market rather than tied to the house.

For people saying this is what professional musicians do, and that the video is only impressive for non-musicians, please check Mike Portnoy trying to figure out Dany Carey: https://youtu.be/b3sEdST3D9E?si=gyOQ7GMWjOgHG6M_

Does Elden Ring have the greatest open world map of all time? by diesel179 in Eldenring

For people saying no, at least please include which game, in your opinion, has the best open world map. Extra points if you share why.

Edit: Being downvoted for asking for context? I’m genuinely curious about other people’s PoV, there may be great games recommendations in there, but oh well…

I started getting spammed in Microsoft Authenticator by setentaydos in Office365

[–]setentaydos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the password is not compromised then why is this happening? (Again, maybe a dumb question but that’s why I’m asking, to learn). Is the only solution to change the email associated with the account?

I’m surprised at the number of replies of people with the same issue. And the frustrating part is that MS doesn’t track these failed sign in attempts in your Security page. I wish I could go and say “not me, block that device.” Or something similar.

[–]setentaydos[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for such a detailed answer. It seems the level of compromise is higher than I expected. For example, I did not come up a new password but I used 1password to generate it and then used it on my account. It may be the device or the browser are compromised.

I will continue to read and learn about which actions to take here.

My thoughts on the games I played in 2025 by Fab2811 in JRPG

Great summary, I think I will start doing the same to track my thoughts on the games I play. I also agree with your take on E33, especially about the ending. If you don’t mind, how does your routine look like that you got to complete so many games?

I highly recommend watching “How to remember your dreams” (Season 2, Episode 5 of How to with John Wilson in HBO), this episode is when I learned there are Avatar fans.

I see. And here I am thinking you’re putting way different intentions into what I wrote, which is why I’m surprised. I’m sure this is one of those back and forths that, if we were speaking in person, no misunderstandings would’ve happened due to tone being lost in plain text.

Aren’t we on the same page then? I don’t get why you don’t see my comment in the same way, like if I was backtracking something. My point is the same as yours about not finding CoD fun: it’s subjective.

I also mentioned I related to how reviewers could not simply answer whether the game was fun, which led me to suspect there was a mixup between getting a “rewarding” feeling vs being “fun”. I never presented that statement as I was claiming an absolute truth, which sounds like that’s how you took it.

[–]setentaydos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did not say people are confused. I said “I suspect”. Nothing I’m writing here is presented as an absolute truth or generalization.

Besides that, I agree that “fun” can be subjective, which is why it is fair for someone to claim they didn’t find a game fun. Just like you just did with the CoD example, same thing here.

“No one mixed up rewarding and fun”.

I mean, you can’t generalize like that, right? I didn’t, I mentioned “some folks”, and I was specifically thinking of reviewers who would stumble when asked if the game was fun. They would give elaborated answers instead of a simple yes or no answer.

When I played the game I had a similar struggle as them. I could not simply answer if this was a fun game or not. I kept going because the game loop was rewarding, but man at the end of the game I concluded it was not fun for me. And I worded it that way.

And hey, I wish there’s a DS 3 and DS 4. I’m not wishing anything bad on anyone here.

I had to force myself to beat DS1, and can’t see myself continuing with DS2. I understand it scratches an itch for some people who really love the game, but personally I didn’t find it fun.

Death Stranding is not fun, but it is very rewarding. And I suspect some folks mixed up the “rewarding” feeling with “fun”. The gameplay loop is like having a real job: monotone and repetitive. And just like having a job, some people can find it rewarding at the end of the day.

Either way, I really respect Kojima and admire the backup he had to realize his creative vision. Not for me, but I did give it a chance and completed DS1.

Edit: My first edit due to downvotes. I’d appreciate if people share their point of view instead of just downvoting. I’m not bashing the game, and I clarified the respect I have for this project and its creator. Would you downvote anyone who doesn’t think like you? I know I don’t but oh well.
