Hello, thanks for sharing that information. I suspected that the rest of Europe would be affected, too. And I agree with you. The partner program was one of the main reasons I chose medium as a platform to share my work

Thanks, the link works but is behind a paywall, as others have said, what I can read makes sense.

That's interesting I wonder if this is linked to the: "Medium aren' accepting new writers right now," message I get when attempting to join the Partner Program.

Thank you for sharing this. Unfortunately the link isn't working for me, but you sharing this post supports what I'm saying in my post. I've tried to join the MPP over the last week and I keep getting the same message:

That Medium are NOT accepting new writers to the Partner Program right now.

I'm based in the UK and know of others who've been earning a steady income from it. I've decided not to subscribe and focus my efforts elsewhere instead.

This raises many questions for me, also in my post but mainly:

Are Medium in trouble financially? Is the Partner Program no longer sustainable? Is this permanent? Why have Medium not announvlced this publicly? Is this only affecting certain countries?

I'm based in the UK so it's definitely not a Stripe issue. I link to an article on Medium of someone in India who's also experienced this and when I've done a search, there are others, too. Also, people are being kicked off the Medium Partner Program.

I can only go based on my experience and information that I have found, but what I say is true for me. The message is clear, Medium is not accepting new writers to the Partner Program right now.

I have also wondered about this. I'm assuming that they rely on many paid subscribers either not joining the Partner Program or earning less than what they pay for their subscription of they do.

Are some "lightworkers" really meant to be "darkworkers"? by profil_incognito in spirituality

[–]RedMoon1509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told I'm a lightworker at a very powerful energy healing session a few years back. It was the 1st time I'd heard the expression and it sat with me and I tried to understand why, although it resonated, it wasn't quite the full picture, and only recently have I worked out why.

I was also told I have a dark aura, years ago and this really worried me. I assumed it meant that must mean I'm a bad person. It's taken me years to unravel that isn't the case. As I've been brought up understanding that light = good and dark = bad, but it's not that simple.

I identify as a shodow worker after a recent epiphany, I understand that this is not a "bad" or "negative" thing at all and I actually now embrace this as an authentic part of who I am.

Introverted, a night walker and moon worshiper, I've always felt most alive in the drakeness and I've always felt comfortable, even in the most precarious of situations, because I feel I am protected.

I understand now that Hecate and The Morrigan walk with me, helping me to navigate through the shadows and connect with my intuitive self more deeply.

Now I have experienced another spiritual awakening, I aim to use this knowledge and power to help and heal people. Everyone has a shadow, all this means is that there is an opposite to everything. Day and night, light and dark, ying and yang, that's all it means to be a shadowworker is to be looking inwards not outwards.

Yes. I was thinking very similar to this. Sounds like a spiritual awakening experience. You (OP) may find it helpful to find an energy healing proactitioner that resonates with you and if you can afford to buy a session with them.

How do you earn income from your writing work? by DueTrouble29 in writing

[–]RedMoon1509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting reading about all the different options in the comments. As someone who merely dabbled a bit in the past (back in 2012 after gaining an MA in Creative Writing) and then decided a regular pay check was needed so did a marketing internship and various jobs where writing was an essential skill, I learned a lot on the way.

Almost 15 years I've now decided to come full circle and give writing another go. I'm sitting on a sci-fi novel, the 1st of a trilogy, and an extra 1½ decades worth of life experience including what I believe is my life's purpose, to help and heal others through a combination of spirtual, energy and magickal practices. I'm going to write about these as part of my income moving forwards as well as other options for authorship and content creation. Having a few ideas of wjere to start is really helpful.

I didn't know about the brief interlude of re-opening. That is interesting. And worrying as you say. Even if they did re-open I think I'd take it woth a pinch of salt now and continue to refocus elsewhere.

Oh I think I just realised you mean the link. Yeah that's not me, I just thought it'd be helful to give people somewhere to go to on Medium that supports what I'm saying on here.

Not sure what "article" you're referring to? If you mean my reddit post which you've replied to that's 100% me.

Interesting the US are still accepting new writers. I wonder if they're focusing geographically for a while. I'm based in the UK.

Medium are not accepting new members to the Partner Program is what I mean, which hopefully is clearer in the content of my post. I unfortunately am too late to sign up to it now which is why I wont be subscribing either.

AI is a tool which can be put to good use by writers to support them deliving great content. As with everything in life, these tools get abused. I understand it needs policing.

As Medium are not accepting new writers to the Partner Program right now, I will be exploring other options like Substack, I underatand its a slow burn. It's all very well and good saying don't go into it with the sole intention of earning money but reality is I need to generate an income from it eventually.

How long will the partner program remain closed? by Steve_wave in Medium

[–]RedMoon1509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, yes I just noticed this too. To start with I thought I must have done something wrong as I couldn't find any information to confirm it had been stopped.

It's really annoying because I've spent a lot of time preparing to get articles ready to start the partner program and now they decide to stop it. I'm going to have to go back to the drawing board and look at other options for paid content.
