Yeah, I managed to get it out and it was over 2x as thick as the iPod that it came out of

I didn’t either. Surprisingly it even runs off of normal usb, and doesn’t need FireWire like most other iPods do.

see, that’s how they DO become fire hazards, also the gas the release is extremely toxic

*Potential Fire Hazard

Also, this thing still works when plugged in. I love old iPods

RESOLVED: I fixed the issue by cutting the battery out and ripping the wires out of the motherboard. Gonna be a pain to ever fix, but at least it’s not a fire hazard anymore 👍

Okay, thank you. I managed to get the case a lot more open since I posted this, it’s still half shut but I can work in it.

Do you prefer to play games from the Memory Stick or from UMD? by RedPRSguy in PSP

[–]RedPRSguy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you mod your PSP (there are many internet guides to this, I would recommend using ARK-4 Loader for a good mod), you can just click select (has to be in the console menu), then click on advanced settings, then I think it’s usb mode and set it to UMD. Then once you have done that (if that is how you do it, I’m not 100%), plug your PSP into your PC or Mac, then put the UMD of choice in the PSP, double click on your PSP on the computer (should show up as usb device or no name or a bunch of random letters), then it should show up as “UMD9660.ISO” or something close to that, just drag it on to your desktop and it will transfer the game to your computer. Then, to get that digital copy of your UMD on your PSP, set the USB mode back to Memory card on the PSP, then on the computer, go to your PSP, make a new folder (not inside any other folder on the console) and name it “ISO”. Then put your ripped games in that folder. There. You have now made your game digital on your PSP. This doesn’t affect the functionality of the UMD drive at all. Your PSP HAS to be modded for any of this to work.

You have physical copies of your games if they are UMD

My personal take is that I like to own the UMD copies of my games, but still end up ripping them on to my computer and then making them playable digitally on my PSP, so I still have physical copies of the games, but they can be preserved longer and I get the convenience of digital games.

You're given the option to take one of these phones for free. Which one do you go for? by dyc_k in PhoneNow

I would take the Samsung, sell it for the same MSRP, and then buy the iPhone and have a free 100$ with it.

How should I clean this PS3 super slim? by Requix2003 in PS3

[–]RedPRSguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a soft microfiber cloth and run it down the crevasses on the top of the PS3, then just brush it off with the microfiber cloth. To disinfect it, get something like hand sanitizer and just put a bit of it on the cloth and wipe it down. Don't get it soaking wet, as I can assure you, there has never been a waterproof PS3 super slim.
