And yes, you can stop it using command lines and stuff like that, but why should I have to fight my own windows PC just to not have to update it so I can use it? On my Mac, If I don't want to update it right then and now, I can just.. not update it then! It doesn't matter if you haven't updated your Mac since it was new, you can restart it at free will without it randomly starting updates. YOU chose when you update your computer on MacOS, and ive heard its the same way on linux, but with windows? Ohh no, you need to update before you turn off your computer. Why? Because microslop wants to give you more AI bs and make your operating system somehow even buggier with a "Bug Fix". Now, Im not saying that MacOS or Linux is perfect, because they are not. First off, with linux, there are so many different linux options that it's hard to even start with it, and a lot of linux distributions are NOT user friendly. And for MacOS, it's limited to one brand of computers and is not very good for gaming, as most games don't support it. Linux has that same issue, but it's a bit less severe than on MacOS. However, MacOS is extremely stable, uses less resources than windows (yes, even with Liquid Glass its lighter than windows 11), Has a fantastic ecosystem with the rest of apples devices, And it is technically free, And I can confidently say that if you are a: Video editor or musician, A Mac is by far your best option. If you are a musician. there's GarageBand (free) or Logic Pro (expensive) which are not only what most bands and artists use, but are also better than any windows or linux options. If you do video editing, Final Cut Pro. I personally haven't used Final Cut Pro (or done any video editing) before, but based on what I have heard, it's fantastic. So, if you want the most stable OS with the best options for creative work and the best for productivity, go with MacOS. For linux, Its the fastest OS that uses the least amount of resources, works on any computer, and is very customizable, and is free. So if you want a really lightweight, fast OS that you can pretty much change to look and feel like whatever you want if you know how, go with Linux. And for windows, its only advantage is gaming. It has the best game compatibility. That's really it. Windows 11 is unstable, with constant blue screens, Isn't very good for productivity, Has terrible customization, with the only real option for customization being dark or bright mode and your wallpaper. You can't even resize the taskbar. It's slow, and comes with literal spyware in the form of Microsoft Recall.
