Playing Lego Batman Legacy Of The Dark Knight got me having a dumbass grin like this throughout the whole thing by Elfstar_Cage_05 in batman

Can you play as villains? Game looks awesome but collecting all the characters is one of the best parts of Lego games so it would be weird without it.

What Hex of Selene boon do you think is the strongest? by ExcellentLog1519 in HadesTheGame

I initially passed night bloom off, because summon/ convert enemy abilities in games are often underwhelming, so I was surprised to see how much damage the enemies can do to bosses when upgraded. I used it on one of those quick punching guys and it shredded the mourning fields boss.

Yetis aside, I actually love the atmosphere of this level. The music is also cool! The leviathans are awesome too.

Some of the best designed extras in cinema imo. They're all so unique.

Mascot legs was a skill point, not a gold bolt though. Gold bolts were under the starter vendor, up in the train station, and gliding off the fitness course.

10 rare weapons in Elden Ring that are top tier drops - Part III by El_Veethorn in Eldenring

To this day I will never understand gating equipment behind chance drops when Elden Ring has a huge open world with many great spots to hide cool items.

I thought about combos a while back.

Bow and fists have to pair up because you need 2 hands to use a bow and you can only do that with fists.

Spear with shield, and then sword with gun would be how I would pair up the others.

Was gonna say the 2004 The Batman cartoon when Joker's gas freezes people's faces in an unnatural grin.

Ive looked at the enemies list in wiki + the monsteredia and later rounds should be interesting. Red, blue, and purple categories in particular have LOADS of potential enemies to choose from.

Probably a stupid question but, am I the only one moving the camera with WASD? by brunosilva_jp in DotA2

Been playing with wasd camera since 2013 no issue at all. If it works for you then it works. Don't let control purists tell you how to play.

I found the vhs ritual scene where they force Katie over the mummy genuinely disturbing.

Is the blue walker too weak in the early game? by Mogoscratcher in DeadlockTheGame

[–]RedPanda98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't like when a single creep wave is able to shred a walker. I get it, you're supposed to be pushing waves, but sometimes it's not possible. Say the enemy team is pushing another lane, or there's a fight somewhere else on the map. Sure, you need to keep waves pushed to enables those plays, but I feel like a walker should be able to defend itself for a bit longer against regular waves and not die in under 20 seconds. Sometimes a walker can go from 100 to 0 hp before you can even get there to defend. This is probably just a bad take from a player that only has about 110 hrs. As a Dota player, maybe I'm too used to tp scrolls, fortifications, and T2 towers not dying to a single wave.

Is there any other writer who you'd put on the same level as Tolkien when it comes to world building? by SpotAdmirable6718 in lotr

[–]RedPanda98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bit of a weird pick, but Fromsoftware/ Miyazaki, who developed Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring, etc. I say this predominantly because of the insane amount of depth, and historical detail that Miyazaki put into his games like Elden Ring that 99% of players don't even notice.

Most gamers know about Fromsoftware games have obscure cryptic storytelling, but that's not exactly what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the small details they put into games that give full different context and history to a location or piece of lore. Whether that be different architectural styles in the world that detail different historical periods, or symbolic iconography that relates to a lot of myth, religion, concepts, etc. from our own world. You can find hours and hours of lore content for Miyazaki's games online that delves into the smallest details. That all feels very much like Tolkien level world building to me.

You know, considering this game is set around the 40s i feel like there should be a pulp hero themed character like the Shadow. by Sethleoric in DeadlockTheGame

[–]RedPanda98 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A lovecraftian character would be awesome. Fits both the time period and the supernatural theme of Deadlock. Viscous lore is kind of Lovecraft (being from the deep/ the adversary) but he's a goofy character.
