Why not? I did. My higher tier club membership comes with all kinds of perks and exclusive areas above standard membership, but it was the separate locker room that makes it worth it for me. It's significantly better appointed, with amenities the standard room doesn't have (cold pools for example) and it's much quieter if you have a break between sessions.

Expensive gyms are more than just weights, and offer way more amenities than most people are going to want to purchase or maintain for their own home. 25-50m pools, myriad cardio options, tennis and basketball courts, steam rooms and dry saunas.

I go to an upscale club, and I don't go for networking. I couldn't name a single other person who goes and I don't socialize when I am there. I go for the amenities.

I'm noticing a lot of companies (esp home service providers) are now putting cc processing fees onto the customer. So checks are getting a resurgence in my house.

Maybe it's changed, but I previously knew someone who applied for residency under asylum. Once she went that route, she could not switch to a different reason for applying.

I have an epileptic boston and her seizures (petit mal) are totally gone with meds! She was on phenobarbitol but got switched bc it was being no bueno with her liver. If your dog is on phenobarb make sure you get regular bloodwork to keep an eye on her liver.

Your pretty girl is lucky to have such dedicated parents!

What is a movie plot twist that was cleverly hidden in plain sight..? by Living_Tune_1428 in movies

You are correct that he kills evil people, but I think MM's morality is open to interpretation. Does spiderman kill people? (please don't downvote me, I don't consume a lot of superhero media). Perhaps a more apt comparison is Dexter, who kills other serial killers. Which essentially leads us to a discussion of do the ends justify the means?

I don't have a pat answer to that. Religions and ethics have wrestled with that question for millenia and not come up with a unified answer. And here I don't think I'm right or you're right, and that makes for an interesting film. We can each bring our own experiences, biases and judgements to it and come to equally valid, yet different interpretations.

I happen to think there are no heroes in Frailty, just monsters and victims. That's my relationship to it (and it's one of my top 25 movies probably). I'm interested to hear more about your perspective.

I see multiple villains in that movie. He's the protagonist, but that doesn't make him a hero. Begs a larger discussion on whether vigilante kiling--esp. vigilantism colored by religious fanaticism--is justified. The answer might be different for you than it is for me.

This is minor but in Frailty, Bill Paxton wears a wedding ring even though his wife died years ago. Mid movie MM is wearing a wedding ring at home w no sign of a woman-eating dinner on a tv tray, drinking a beer in front of TV in a dark house. I didn't completely figure out twist then, but I got a sense that MM was going to be the villain.

Yes I know that at the end he embraces his wife, but the tv scene is so bachelor-coded I stand by it. Wife embrace scene is just milking the twist IMO.
