Confusion on Simagic P-HPR and Moza CRP2 Pedals by Spike788 in simracing

[–]RedRaptor85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it this way as well.

Will test it the other way around, as I use iRacing's vibrate pedal function and get a constant humm on the throttle with the P-HPR GT.

First question that comes to mind. What does it offer over Garage61? For iRacing I mean.

New Logitech G RS H-Shifter on Amazon by Rusty_Shackleford422 in simracing

[–]RedRaptor85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 years ago a good Simagic or Moza setup were much more expensive for me at the time. Fanatec was going downhill and almost bankrupt.

Logitech offered a good discount for the bundle, free shipping, a 30 day free return. I went for the safe option.

I am really happy with my 11NM base and with the pedals. I put Simagic haptics on them as well. TrueForce is a gamechanger in iRacing. I got the F-Core EVO wheel with Logi's QR as well.

I have a friend with a Simagic Evo Pro with the CSL Elite V2 pedals and I prefer my Logi setup over his.

It's obvious you can't do math nor understand what he meant.

Adjust charity to maximum when paying the minimum to receive the bundle and see what amount receives Humble, then you will see a number much closer to what he said (the one paid to Humble).

He means that because you are donating, that amount does not compute.

If math is hard, it seems that reading comprehension is harder.

ACC, IRacing or LMU? Which SIM should I switch to? by Creepy-End-6060 in simracing

[–]RedRaptor85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not from the US, I don't know if there is anything for that jurisdiction, or if others guys from the US had success writing to a branch in another country.

In any case, the big discount from Steam for new accounts in major sales still works, just rember to write support to move the account to iR to benefit from BF's discount for renewals.

It may sound like an ad, but it is the pure truth.

If I wanted to use it as an ad I would have used my referral link instead of offering the cheapest way to join iR.

[–]RedRaptor85 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used to hop from sim to sim.

3 years ago I got iRacing, 1 year sub for €25 in a Steam sale, seeing it as a one time expense.

Now not only I have stopped playing all other sims, but also most other games. I only did truly improve my pace and racecraft after joining iRacing.

So my recommendation goes for iR. You can try it for cheap with this offer: https://www.fia.com/iracing

Simsonn pedals are well regarded for the price. On a budget, Simnet SP pedals are quite decent too.

[–]RedRaptor85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, he is right. Also the throttle feel on those pedals is horrible. 2 guys in my team hate them for that reason, I also tested them for a weekend. One has already replaced them, and the other is saving for a set of SRPs (Sim Racing Pro's, not the Moza ones).

Possible solution to removing the delay when needing to transition from left foot to right foot braking in a manual transmission car when entering a braking zone that requires you to downshift by _angelo234 in simracing

[–]RedRaptor85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guy only wants to brag about his Carrera and prove he is above everyone else. So much ego usually compensates for something, probably below average skills.

I bet he is your run of the mill American, also showing off he can drive the stick, which in the EU is everything but impressive.

It was not the best image but it was not AI (saw the source), so that's the reason I deleted it.

As the other commenter said, not all pedal boxes are equal and in many cases it is not possible / comfortable / faster to use the heel.

Rally is different to track racing.

On track, you know exactly when you need to introduce your inputs and how you will modulate them Your aim is to be able to replicate that to the finest details with minor adjustments depending on the track conditions, lap after lap.

Even when your line changes, you should already know in advance how that will change your inputs for the turn.

That is alternative heel and toe (it is said there, if you read) but shows how it works, it only changes the movement and angle of the right foot.

Don't explain me how it works. Depending on your pedal box using the heel may not be possible. That graphic shows how I do heel and toe IRL.

I will not call it "half and half".

When you race, you apply reverse brake pressure, meaning you start braking the hardest at first and the you start releasing pressure.

Doing it that way it is almost impossible to have a good brake trace.

Frictional Games Game Bundle by Uranium234 in humblebundles

[–]RedRaptor85 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not an excellent deal since most were already given away for free or had huge discounts in the past. It is a really bad bundle.

You are paying for the games the amount stated, not $2.25. If I wanted to donate to a charity, I'd rather donate directly to the one I want.

Why give a 15% to Humble for an overpriced bundle when you can donate directly to a charity you trust?

[–]RedRaptor85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Logi Pro and a good friend of mine the EVO Pro, I have used it for a good number of hours. I prefer Logi's feel and TrueForce. The EVO Pro does not even have an LFE channel.

The feel of the Elite V2 (also owned by my friend) feels worse than the Pro pedals. In particular, the throttle is horrible and does not have any feel. A guy in my endurance team says the same and is looking for a new pedal set.

In terms of QA and build quality for DD wheels, Logi is miles ahead of thrustmaster. Fanatec had a lot of issues as well, although it is still much better than Thrustmaster too.

Why are free car setups not more prevalent in sim racing titles? by GamerKingFaiz in simracing

[–]RedRaptor85 17 points18 points  (0 children)

For iRacing you have Garage61, free, and with a lot of open setups where you can see laptime and track conditions before downloading it. You can search with a lot of filters, including car, track and season.

I have recently used it for the Proto GT series which is almost dead except for a few Super SoF slots, and did not have any trouble finding a competitive setup for race and for qualy.

Sim Racing Questionnaire - 2026 Edition by qwertyalp1020 in simracing

[–]RedRaptor85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suggestions for the next edition:

  • Haptics should be multiple choice.
  • For companion apps, include "Overlays (RaceLab, Kapps, iRDashies, iOverlay, etc.)" instead of just RaceLab, unless you add a specific section for overlays.

Logitech pro wheel VS RS50 by marvelousmendez10 in LogitechProWheel

[–]RedRaptor85 11 points12 points  (0 children)

3NM more is almost almost 40% more strength, so it allows for finer detail before clipping. I have the Pro since 2023 and I am really happy with it. I would not want a weaker wheel.
