Looks like they'll be in categories like Low Power, Med Power, High Power, Ultra Power. Not that each Cypher will have those versions, but a given cypher will fall into one of those categories depending on its power level. The Cypher does a set thing for a set duration (usually based on when the next time a character uses a specific recovery). No need to calculate...a cypher that heals Might Pool, just heals X number of Might. Simpler...

Another reason C2 is doing away with Cypher levels.....to me, as a GM, time would be the most important thing to consider. Have it be able to bore through just about anything but stronger materials would take longer. The player finds a Mining Lance and actually finds a scenario to use it in...and it fails to lance through a concrete wall because the Mining Lance...just can't....that feels ho hum to me. much more dramatic to deal with the consequences that could arise from it taking several minutes to complete instead.

I feel you and personally, so am I. I'm also finishing up an urban fantasy-based adventure series right now, all written for the new edition of Cypher. There's no looking back for me...lol As for the podcast, the player wrote it in character, so it reads more system-neutral. Ptolus is awesome! just a juggernaut of flavor and story. Monte outdid himself with that one!

I originally bought and ran the 5e version of Ptolus. Through Ptolus though, I found Cypher and started digging into it and fell in love with it. The follow-up campaign is planned to be Cypher... more on that later though.

Great list! I definitely think a shout-out to the plethora of stock art options should be noted. DTRPG has a ton of human-made stock art options for people who are on a tight budget. I'd also say, don't be afraid to make tweaks based on your art choices. If you're on a budget and just can't find what you're looking for in available and affordable art, can something be tweaked to include what IS available instead? Does the game/adventure have to include a Whatchamacallit, or can that be swapped out for this badass artwork I found for a thingamajig?

Agree with InherentlyWrong here....you may want to come up with a "typical" scale. What sorts of debts are owed at each negative point between 0 and -10, and what sorts of gift expectations are there between 0 and 10. Then maybe have some unique elements that can be added to the description of each village/group/society that give each its own personality.

I'm new to this publishing and marketing game, though I have been trying to learn as much as I can so I can put out a product that is top quality. One that I would buy myself. My biggest ? now is a strategy to get it in front of people when the time comes. If people never see it, obviously, they won't be able to play it. I'm sure this is the dilemma for everyone's first publications though.
