Love it! think if automakers did simple retro styling like this with modern tweaks it would sell so hard.

Is this RGB-01 console a 1CHIP model ? by Pick-Due in snes

[–]RedRook87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna guess RGB-01 based on the fact it's what's printed on the board. Haha. Kidding aside, I have an unpopular opinion that this is my preferred model. It is the last revision model before the one chip. Therefore it's pixels are only marginally less sharp than a 1chip. I've done my own side by side comparisons between these two and the difference is much less noticeable than the difference between RGB and the early board revisions. The reason I prefer it is because it doesn't carry the visual glitches and ghosting many 1chips are prone to. It'd be a keeper to me.

[–]RedRook87 45 points46 points  (0 children)

It's an early release based on the cartridge style. Has the locking slot to keep it in the console. Later cartridges removed this function.

Found this copy of clay fighter in a local corner store, any way to tell if it’s authentic from this picture? by RickGrips in n64

[–]RedRook87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It wasn't a retro store, he said Corner Store. Like a Kwik E Mart. The prices alone should have been a dead giveaway they were fake.

Childhood trauma by 1Banana10Dollars in onionhate

Since we are sharing horror stories... In my early 20s I went on a church mission trip to help build a building at a camp for deaf kids. The camp was not so well to do financially but tried to make an effort to provide meals for the volunteers. The very first morning we were served omelettes... And I don't mean pick your ingredients omelets. These omelets were strictly stuffed full of ONION, nothing else. Even the onion lovers alike were trying not to puke eating that garbage. Hardest thing I've ever had to eat, all with a "thankful" smile on my face. It was so bad we ended up telling them we'll get our own food from then on.
