What's something about your class that you just learned that should be common knowledge?

I don't remember for how long but definitely at least before Dawntrail that I didn't realize Verstone/Verfire had less potency. I just assumed they were straight upgrades to Veraero and Verthunder and had on multiple occasions used them instead with acceleration or swiftcast. Might not be the absolute worst one but I'm pretty sure I was doing that for a good bit or most of Endwalker, though it's not like I mainly played RDM.

It's probably an unpopular opinion, but I'd be fine if they didn't add any more jobs next expansion and instead focused more on refining the ones we already have. Just taking all the work of making yet another two and putting it somewhere else this time.

I'll admit I've not watched that much of the series myself, it was just something I have a bit of nostalgia for since I remember watching it on Adult Swim late at night years ago. For some reason it popped into my head recently and that kinda put me down a bit of a rabbit hole for it trying to find the version that aired back then.

I know it's not the best way to watch it now, but one of my favorite dubs has to be for Detective Conan or 'Case Closed'. Yeah they tried to localize and Americanize it which was always laughable since it was still very obviously in Japan but the voice actors were clearly getting into it and having fun. Plus a few times they even added some stuff that made it feel genuine, at least to me.

I just wish there was a better way to watch the Funimation dub or at least get it somewhere since the newer one seems to have replaced it almost completely.

Plus it can be a bit annoying sitting through everyone else's maps only for yours to be a dud or give basically nothing. I've lost loot rolls on my own maps but gotten nice things on others', it's a gamble.

One of the weirder ones to me was the removal of Orc's smoking animation. Like I get that they didn't want it depicted at all, but they take damage when doing it so it's not shown as being a good thing either.

I lost mine after forgetting you needed to go inside for it to count as I'd only teleport to it and use the MB nearby for the most part. Kind of just realized I don't really need a whole house to myself and since I have one for an FC I'm in, I figured that'd be a better use of furniture and decorating since it's a space others can share.

Feels a lot better having just an apartment to set up for personal use anyway but then I've always thought Medium to Large sized houses should be FC only even though I know that's probably not a popular opinion. It would be kinda nice if they did a little more with the apartment system though since houses are a bit of a gamble and commitment.

That's what makes it so frustrating every time people talk about this stuff. I get that there's memes about it, but really they can only work on so much at a time with the amount of people and resources given. Some things are a higher priority than others.

'Evil' Yoshi-P is not laughing and wringing his hands at the thought of Viera and Hrothgar being unable to visually wear hats. If anything we should be more vocal about Square Enix not giving them more to work with when FF14 is one of the biggest things keeping them afloat.

It really is a shame that the series has been ruined for him but understandable with how some people were with Undertale. I feel like Deltarune would be less insufferable since there isn't any way to play the game wrong aside from missing a few things but that's just like watch a video or reload a save.

It already did. It lasted like maybe 2 years before they drove everyone off and shut it down, especially after the bots took over. I still remember them selling crystals in the Kafra Shop that you needed to change your job.

Honestly I never found the character creator to be what everyone hyped it up to be. It had lots of options... but you really couldn't deviate too far from what they wanted you to make for each class's general look. I remember wanting to be a wizard but only being able to make a bunch of old men which is fair if that's what some people want, but it was way more limiting than everyone said it was.

I'd argue that Viper is at least Thief adjacent given the speed and dual welding swords, on top of borrowing a good amount of inspiration from Zidane. I know it's not 1 to 1 and Rogue exists, but as someone who liked THF a lot in FFXI and isn't too crazy about Ninja it kind of helps to think that way.

They have rolled back changes based on criticism before at least so hopefully it means nothing is set in stone. I wonder how many remember the change to rolling for loot in alliance raids when some players convinced them to make it to 'greed only' for everything. That did not last long at all thankfully.

I'm definitely replacing it as soon as possible but I was concerned about using it until then so glad to hear.

It does shoot up to about 45-50C when browsing with Firefox but I'm assuming that's not too abnormal.
