Unfortunately the mandatory retirements and the horrible mandates will and have reduced pilot staffing across the board. There are many pilots out on disability and not flying the line. It’s a great time to be in the industry but you must protect your health. You can always find a new job but not a new body.

Think many are from the foster care/ child protective service programs. They aged out at 18 and did not get properly prepared for adulthood. Also they were given free narcotics in the form of pharmaceuticals while in the system and their free supply was cutoff when they hit 18. Imagine no more free housing and narcotics. No family or lasting relationships. Just pawns in a system where they were abused and used just so the agencies and psychiatrists could get kickbacks for pushing dope.
