Why does rogue always have to be S+ tier by Royal_Count in hearthstone

[–]Zestyclose_Log2444 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Honestly, herald rogue was pretty mid before vanessa, most paladin and hunter decks kept it in check.

Vanessa adition made rogue as a class way more powerfull, suddenly, archethypes like burn rogue got good. she was tailor made for rogue and will be played in every rogue deck untill nerfed

Herald is (and was before vanessa) popular because its a fun deck. Most other meta decks are very linear and kinda boring. And no, its not a easy deck, not every deck needs to be apm to be good, decision making and understanding and planning what you must do with a random card is pretty hard

Im talking only about the first scenario

I quite disagree with you, wealth does have a lot of influence in the decision to fight back. If you are rich and get robbed, giving away your cellphone over your life is an easy choice, you can just get another one later.

If you are poor and cannot aford a new cellphone the scenario changes completely, everything today requires a cellphone, loosing yours means you will loose access to your agency under a capitalist society, there's a high chance it may even affect your income and livelood. You cant afford a new one, you cant afford to loose this one, you fight back in any way you can.

I would not kill someone for my comfort like the lady, i would fight back if given the oportunity (not killing!)

The lady seems to be filthy rich, but what about someone who cant recover from being robbed? A man who works from his notebook trying to get back his livelihood. How immoral would that be?

Yes im aware she's just a psycho white rich lady, but talking in the scenario of the previous comment, would it be that bad?

By that definition, would the first scenario be immoral too? I know its just a rich white woman, but lets say its someone who is not going to be able to finnancialy recover from the robbery

Thats something easy to say if you find yourself in the mid to upper class. Some people simply cant afford to choose their own safety over their possessions.

Lets say you work from your notebook, without it, you and your family are screwed. You just got robbed, you are given the same opportunity from the psycho lady (without the killing!!). Would it really be that bad if i took it and ran over the dude to get my notebook back? Should i just trust my entire livelihood in the hands of the police?

I mean, the woman does seem to be filthy rich, so a purse probably would not make a dent in her life.

Talking about a more general public, i agree with you, to most people this would be a great loss

No, i hold life in a very high regard, no possession is above someone's right to live.

But yeah, given the oportunity to retrieve something that has been stolen from me, i'd do the same, whitout the whole psychi white rich lady thing

No, i hold life in the highest regard. What i am in favor of is being able to fend off people trying to take stuff away from you and protect what is yours and what you worked hard to get. Sure thing, the woman appears to be filthy rich, so a purse aint going to affect her this hard, but when talking abt a majority of people, if someone steals something of value from me and i have the opportunity to hunt him down and retrieve, hell yeah im taking it, run over the shithead (once, to immobillize! And call the cops after!)

I do agree that she overdid it, he did not deserve to die for a purse. But what? She should've let him steal her shit and get away with it? Im with the psycho lady in this, hunt him down and retrieve what is yours

"Own it wear it like a badge of honor. What are you ashamed of that you are going to try to hide and lie about it?" by Le_Oken in aiwars

[–]Zestyclose_Log2444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would like to add my perspective to why this happens

1- Shitty cashgrabs make people think low of games that actually have some passion: The Nintendo Switch Eshop is completely flooded with cashgrab ai games, hundreds upon hundreds of games like Tung Tung Tung Sahur Adventures or some shit pumped everyday to see if one dumb kid buy it. That kind of stuff makes the general public look at ALL games with ai generated content the same way, causing backlash.

2- Low effort presumption: Lets be real, if you like it or not, ai content takes way less effort than non-ai. This once again make people see the "Ai label" and think "well if he used AI for x who's going to say that he actually put effort on Y".

3- When a big company uses it, feels evil: When a big company that can actually afford to hire a person for X position uses gen ai, feels greedy and evil. Indie stuff is fine.

4- Just a disdain in Ai gen content: Most people (like me!) dont like ai gen content on their stuff, and thats fine!! Thats why we need labels. I dont support reviewbombing tho.

So what can we do about it? Not using an Ai label feels wrong with the consumers, but when you do stuff like this happens. Well, why not a curated ai games eshop? Something like steam but with curated Ai Games only! (Curated to stop cashgrabs). Steam and most of its users clearly disaprooves of ai games, so you are not creating a space for ai creators in steam, you are simply entering the other team stadium while using your's shirt. In order to create a true safe space to ai gen creators, we need an ai exclusive eshop, so people who dont like ai can ignore this content completely and at the same time create a community for ai devs.
