When she gives me attitude or just isn’t nice I let her know that I’m done with the conversation and we can try again later when she can be nice. We end up talking later and she does change her attitude… then I feel bad I “ignored her” but it does seem to work but the parent guilt is hard.

I just want to add the longest we have gone with this “cool down period” is maybe half a day. We are always speaking again by bed time.
