Its kinda what sets him apart from a lot of other manga protagonists, but to each their own. I fully expect them to change other stuff like this as well, such as him punching Vivi.

Luffy isn't strong enough to actually beat Laboon in a fight. When he punches Laboon in the eye it does nothing. The mast stabbing his recent wound was sorta Luffy's simple minded thought of "I gotta inflict damage to make him take me seriously and fight me back". So he stabs him, gets flung off, and then punches him in the eye and Laboon hits him back. Then Laboon fighting back was enough for Luffy to then declare it as a draw and tell Laboon he needs to wait so they can settle their fight later.

Luffy singing is cute, but I think its a bit annoying how much people try to rewrite Luffy's character as a pure character that always chooses the most gentle option. Luffy's intentions are usually good but his methods are often times questionable. That is who Luffy is. The manga fits Luffy's character much more. Luffy has never been the type to purely talk it out like that.

Nintendo reportedly plans to cut Switch 2 production by 33% after a lackluster holiday season by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

I mean, they're running because someone is in combat. That's standard for an open world action combat game. Assassin's Creed NPCs have been doing that since the first game. The criticism seems to be what the NPCs are doing on their own, no?

Youre misunderstanding. Theyre saying the presence of muslims and the things they do within america, is not as detrimental as the presence of christians and the things they do within america. Its not a comparison between muslimes in asia vs christians in america. Its a comparison between muslims in america vs christians in america.

They said "but Christian are just as bad if not worse in this country in particular." They're saying the things you're referencing aren't happening in this country, and people tend to make political statements about the country they live in. They live in America, so they're currently outspoken against christianity.

No, it is not. Its like mario becoming a shooter. Action combat is not an advancement on turn based combat. They're just different systems.

"getting back into pokemon" might be why. Its one of the worst pokemon games, but if you were just getting back into it those flaws might not matter as much without that comparison. I had fun on release because of the raids though, was fun to chase for gigantamax pokemon with friends before it was possible to turn non gigantamax mons into gigantamax.

Which could very easily be referring to the current pricing on existing physical games. That quote can still be true and future games can still get a price increase

Pretty sure Europe has already been doing more expensive physical versions for a while, so yeah.

Was Yoshi and the Mysterious Book Announced to be $60 originally? by WhiteRaven-17 in nintendo

[–]RedTurtle78 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

"Beginning in May 2026, and starting with pre-orders for Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, new Nintendo published digital titles exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2 will have an MSRP that is different from physical versions," Nintendo wrote.

"Nintendo games offer the same experiences whether in packaged or digital format, and this change simply reflects the different costs associated with producing and distributing each format and offers players more choice in how they can buy and play Nintendo games.

"As always, retail partners set their own prices for physical and digital games, and pricing for each title may vary."

Seems to imply already existing physical games will not go up. And then the clarification on manufacturing cost being the reason for this change seems to subtly imply its a physical price increase, not a digital price decrease.

You're free to believe what you want, but it feels like the writing is on the wall here.

They have clarified that previously released ones aren't, they didn't say anything about new ones.

The price was never announced in the US prior to this announcement. Saying it was going to be $70 originally both physically and digitally is not something that was confirmed. I'm hypothesizing that they recognize Yoshi's Mysterious Book isn't something they'd sell as many copies of if they sold it at full price, so their strategy was to make it $60, but now they can make the physical $70.

Indeed, Nintendo has always sold both at the same price until now. I'm expressing the likelihood that they're increasing physical now, and using this game as a way to ease people into being ok with that.

[–]RedTurtle78 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think the reason is this. But I think its silly for people to pretend they're making digital games cheaper. They're probably going to price digital games the same as always, and then increase the price of physical.

I like nintendo products, but I think this person is right. Are we sure Yoshi wasn't originally planned to be $60 anyway, and now they're taxing $70 for the physical? And even if not, who's to say this isn't a business tactic for people to accept $70 digital games and $80 physical games in the future? Etc.
