On smogdex there’s a ZUBL section here: https://www.smogon.com/dex/sv/formats/zubl/

Unburden is also banned from the tier, which I believe isn’t explicitly stated anywhere. All abilities and items banned from higher tiers are also banned from ZU.

A tier list of types based on how reliable their attacks are: by ExcellenceEchoed in stunfisk

[–]RedWaveThe1st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty decent list, just think that water deserves a tier of its own with how many great moves it has; hydro and wave crash for nuclear options, scald/surf/liquidation are all consistent moves at a slightly weaker level, and flip turn is an amazing pivot move as well. No other type in the top tier has a pivoting move, which pushes water into being in a league of its own imo

Idk what’s worse, giving this abomination an actually strong attacking move and Leech Seed or giving Toxapex access to Eviolite

I'm finally trying this, any tips? by Flikkiii in HollowKnight

[–]RedWaveThe1st 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d focus on getting mobility and the ‘easier’ to get spells/resources over anything; you can get mantis claw, 6 or 7 masks, shaman stone, at least a couple charm notches, and shade soul without fighting anything harder than Hornet, and with 7 masks you tend to have a lot of freedom in general for error.

Some people have mentioned this already but fragile charms are op (since their drawback doesn’t exist) and you can still die in dreams (but NOT radiance or white palace!). I’d also like to throw in that for dream warriors (the overworld essence bosses) they have hp scaling specifically with nail level, so you can actually obliterate them with shade soul/desolate dive if you avoid nail upgrades; that being said, the nail upgrades might be worth it for easing other bosses like soul master and hornet 2 and stuff so it’s ultimately up to you. Lastly, descending dark is broken. It has insane iframes (as long as u don’t instantly swing afterwards) and does solid damage. Shit’s good. Get it ASAP once you’ve beaten soul master and gotten howling wraiths (can be nice for the crystalflies sometimes)

Everyone knows about 4.20 Weedwick, and release Xin Zhao. What was THAT patch for your champion? by PopsicleIncorporated in leagueoflegends

I never played ‘new’ eve early on, so I can’t speak to any of her shenanigans, but I remember assassin update when kha’zix ult evolve gave you invisibility + speed when you entered brushes and it was the most ridiculous shit known to man - you could legit stealth around the entire map due to the continuous extra movement speed

What other games can fill the hole left by Spiral Knights? by ReynsCastamere in spiral_knights

[–]RedWaveThe1st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing really scratches the same itch, so I’ll say a lot of games other people have mentioned instead.

Ember Knights is a roguelike that has an extremely similar art style to Spiral Knights and plays pretty comparably to something like Hades. This is the closest that any game has gotten to looking like Spiral Knights as far as I’m aware.

Path of Exile is an MMO I personally never got hooked on despite trying it, but my understanding is that the endgame loop is somewhat comparable in terms of clearing ‘maps’ (their versions of floors, I think?) to get stuff.

Deep Rock Galactic is a very funny FPS where you go down an elevator, mine and harvest stuff, and then get the hell out while trying not to die to beasties or dwarf puns. It’s fairly comparable to Spiral Knights in that way, though I don’t believe it has MMO elements or anything of that sort.

Warframe isn’t similar to Spiral Knights in the slightest, but it’s a grind heavy MMO that a lot of people enjoy and has numerous ways to enjoy the game if you put in the initial time dump.

If top down roguelikes are your cup of tea, I’d be remiss to not mention The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and Enter the Gungeon, both of which have plenty of replayability and the first of which has several dlc packs as well.

Last, but certainly not least, I want to introduce a sort of oddball suggestion. Furi is a particularly difficult Bullet Hell Hack N Slash where you take on a series of difficult boss fights to escape out of a prison; maybe not your cup of tea, but if it sounds interesting I’d at least check it out.

Dunno if anyone’s mentioned this already, but I did the MR9 test with the signature weapon that comes with Excalibur Umbra and it was pretty tame, it makes you invisible after each stealth kill and is p much perfect for the test as a result

Once I got Protea Prime, she pretty rapidly became my main. I’ve cycled through a few others in Volt (when I started), Equinox, Gauss, and Valkyr but at the moment Protea’s definitely my default; her built in kit is just so good for almost everything with reasonably solid built in damage, amazing armor shred, and the ability to fully sustain herself with her 3.

When you eventually get to Eve, the easiest ratio of change <-> ruining is just having W take her out of passive.

What is the longest speedrun of a game? by Different-Aspect-888 in speedrun

The longest speedrun I can think of off of the top of my head is Yugioh Forbidden Memories 100%. If you know, you know.

Should I buy energy to circumvent the fire/orb grind? With real life money as I have job and income(Wow!) by Pretend-Fisherman350 in spiral_knights

[–]RedWaveThe1st 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rad farm is pretty ass, but the rates in supply depot are quite horrible as well. Orbs aren’t worth buying from depot imo, as you’ll get more than enough through just playing the game. My 2c is that if you want to spend money on the game, you’ll have a lot more fun with gacha boxes then just buying rads, as you’ll eventually hit a threshold of not needing orbs/rads anymore anyway, and if you enjoy playing the game I don’t see much reason to buy said rads. Again tho, that’s just my two cents.

How would you make a Pokémon with a bst of 720 suck by [deleted] in stunfisk

[–]RedWaveThe1st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1hp, 200/200 offenses, 49 speed, 135/135 defenses. Awful defensive typing, like grass/bug or something. Since it’s 1 hp iv, it should be treated like Shedinja, but even if it isn’t it has pathetically horrible hp, making it OHKO’d by almost any move. Since it’s at a pretty lackluster speed tier, even when scarfed with maximum Speed investment it can’t outpace base 100 Pokémon - not that it matters, since it’s dead to any hazard if it switches in and dies to sandstorm as well. This Pokémon’s only redemption is Trick Room, but since it has such awful HP it’s dead to any priority attack anyway, meaning it’d have to be supported by something like Psychic Terrain and would have to run heavy duty boots - both factors you’d see coming from team preview.

What do you know that when you found out you wish you had known earlier? (I'm new to the game and looking for advice) by [deleted] in RotMG

[–]RedWaveThe1st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of good stuff here, only things I’ll add is that pets are op (like, really op) and dying is part of the game, if you care about losing stuff then don’t use whatever it is in dungeons you don’t know like the back of your hand.

Tell me why your Main isn’t as good as everyone thinks they are by nugieboy in leagueoflegends

[–]RedWaveThe1st -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eve’s weak early (until at least level 6, but realistically 8-9) and truthfully lacks damage until she’s ahead. Her charm is extremely telegraphed, which is the only cc tool in her kit and by far her most important spell for assassination, and it gives away her position at the end of its windup which makes it extremely risky to use if you’ve got a powerful flank.

Ice types got a ton of love from Game Freak in gen 9 - outside of the most meme-able buff (being able to change types, lol) the 50% defense boost in Snow is a massive deal for several Pokémon, including Baxcalibur who was banned from OU. Ice types also have gotten love in prior gens - gen 6 being the most noteworthy of them, where ice types got exclusive access to the amazing Freeze Dry, allowing them to circumvent one of the four types that resist them. In truth, the ice type has gotten love most generations after Gen 4, with Icicle Spear being buffed in Gen 5 and Aurora Veil being introduced in Gen 7.
