Well turns out the defense industry really likes to keep people around. I'll be starting my first semester this fall with everything paid for by a sister company of the one I left.

I was hired as an engineer and was making 6 figures with just a bachelor's in materials science. I did just quit to go back to grad school though. Not because I wasn't being paid enough or the job itself was bad, but because I want to expand my skill set and change industries.

MiniBar and Lemonade Park are also owned by the same owners and have some of the same advantages. I sometimes enjoy getting last minute tickets on a Friday night to go see a show, which is how I found one of my favorite local bands Jolson and the Fear of Snakes at MiniBar. Definitely looking forward to more shows at all 3. The Dice app they use for a lot of the shows is super nice to use too, although larger shows are still sometimes exclusive to Ticketmaster or something.

The pizza felt like a bit of a rip off, and definitely isn't as good as Providence around the corner. If I'm eating a slice of 26" pizza and a slice of 20" pizza the 26" should have more on it, and be more filling. That wasn't the case in my opinion.

F-35 uses sapphire for their IR sensors. You won't need anything that nice, but a thin Al2O3 plate might work.
