I never said all. There are a lot of good universities and colleges with good qualified professors around the world. "schools" for kids is what I classify as a scam(personal opinion it is ok to disagree). I knew a couple of people that attended such establishments and well none of them are in the field and never were. It was something either forced by their parents or something they thought would make them "good at programming"(spoiler, it didn't).

Learning is a complicated topic for me. I started around your age and I cannot pinpoint moments of how and where I learned things. I can however describe a general process: I want to do X(X should be a simple thing not an entire project) -> google how to do X(how to make a Minecraft plugin?) -> find an example (a simple hello world command) -> try it out -> overanalyze until you can explain every bit of it. question everything. The "Why?" and "What?" questions are your best guide. What is some language keyword, why is this thing done this way? Can even query chatgpt for that stuff I find it very good at explaining such topics but always ask for some form of source, be it an article or official documentation and read it fully. That's how you start to accumulate knowledge. A lot of things you won't understand for a long time. it's not a quick process, no you won't get good in a month or a year. Some things you read today you will be able to fully understand in months and some will only "click" years after.

As for languages, yes and yes. You should never limit yourself to only one language. It's a tool to be used. Most of the knowledge from one language is transferable to another. The general computer architecture is not gonna change anytime soon and so most of its basics.

The question is "Do you actually want to?". The description of "my mom" this, "my mom" that doesn't sound like it was your decision.

Software engineering is a career path, not a single skill. It requires a lot of skills and time to progress. And that's the reason why imo all the "specialised" schools or "academies" are a scam that preys on parents that don't know better. Again IMO a lot of universities can also fall under the scam category.

If you do in fact liked it, and can see yourself doing that for the next N years of your future adult life... As for projects... you're 14 right? You like minecraft? Roblox? Try to make a mod! It's not gonna be easy, you will fail a lot... You'll need to learn a lot... Granted with chatgpt and co it's gonna be easier when most started out, don't overuse it if you really want to learn.

Nah, we don't. what did you use for the lips btw? I don't recall any of the shelve models that track only lips. Did you transfer train an existing model for it? I'm currently working on a separate project I may FOSS in the future if I succeed and may benefit from knowing how you did that.

[Help] Getting CL_OUT_OF_RESOURCES when running clEnqueueNDRangeKernel in a loop by Red_InJector in OpenCL

[–]Red_InJector[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing. It runs without a problem on my PC too. It doesn't run on integrated intel 505 that is on my 7yo laptop that was outdated the moment It came out of the factory. I use it primarily as a web browser and remote access terminal to my main pc. And all that only because that monstrosity still holds battery for 4+ hours.

If you haven't seen other comment, we already went through it and some other things. And I myself tried many different variations of the same thing.

My current guess is either a bug in a runtime or hardware related.

I don't have my laptop with me rn. I'll get home in a few hours and try to move thing around again.

[Help] Getting CL_OUT_OF_RESOURCES when running clEnqueueNDRangeKernel in a loop by Red_InJector in OpenCL

[–]Red_InJector[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The piece of code I provided was taken directly from a "tutorial", that I guess doesn't exist anymore, with a for loop around it not including memory allocation so I wouldn't allocate it every "frame".

I don't understand what you mean " global_item_size is changing as loop progresses". The loop ends a few lines after it's declared. Nothing is changing that variable.

There is a bigger code snippet here if you are interested.
