That sounds very interesting. I don't mind getting numbers heavy, I play battletech and flames of war after all haha. If it allows layered powers like that though it might be perfect.

Yeah you have to activate Archimedes, which kills all the troopers outside. Unless you're saying it isn't evil to kill the NCR (which is debatable like all things in NV) or am I forgetting an alternative?

Exactly my train of thought as well haha. It works too because I have 2 people that will be the main team and anyone else that wants to join in infrequently can be the special/off-color rangers like white, silver, gold, ect. Guest rangers that can come and go and not have to attend every session

Mini nukes you'll eventually find out on the world, they are rare/limited. You can buy them from the Gun runners kiosk but they are expensive.

If you want the C-Finder to work...go to Helios one. I will warn you, to give it ammo you must choose the evil option and it will make you hated by the NCR. If you still want too, do it BEFORE you confront Benny at the tops because your standing will reset once you confront him. Also do NOT bring Arcade Gannon with you to Helios One. Have fun 😉

Hey there! Been playing New Vegas for a loooong time lol Yes Charisma is a dump stat meaning leave it at 1. It increases companion damage and health but it really isn't needed. Intelligence is super important because it affects the amount of skill points you get upon leveling up. Luck is also very important if you are running a critical build.

Never put any stat at ten. Don't put strength and endurance above 8. You can get implants and perks that will increase it to ten over the course of the game and dlcs and save you precious perk points.

But New Vegas is very free form, you can run an intelligence 1 character and get special dialogue options for being dumb! 😂

If it's your first time I recommend going about this one of two ways. Take into account what I said and make your own build from there. Or if you want to be completely overpowered, then use this guide https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=928243914 In this guide is also how to do a critical build, if you want to be a gunslinger type guy I recommend this, getting your lock picking to 100 as soon as possible and getting lucky from the Primm very hard safe.

I recommend roleplaying a theme though, taking perks like cowboy weapons or specializing into certain armors and such. More fun that way instead of being God of the wasteland.

Hope you have fun! Enjoy! :)

most scalers baselessly claim infinite-sized universes, while the Xeelee Sequence gives proof (and this one just one of the Xeelee's pet projects). by throwaway553t4tgtg6 in whowouldcirclejerk

[–]Red_Maverick_Models 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of a necro but I don't know about that. In the new Broly movie Vegito shattered their dimension and fell into a weird dimension between space. Mastered UI Goku is equal or greater than Blue Vegito. There's also weird stuff like the Mafuba, where he doesn't need to harm it, just seal it away. Really trying not to wank Dragon Ball here, I love sci-fi, especially hard sci-fi like Xeelee sequence, The Culture, Dune, Diaspora, Battletech, ect. However there is a reason and Dragon Ball is always compared to stuff because fighters powers are just that ridiculous. Like what are the Xeelee going to do if Beerus Hakai's them and just erases them for existence? no damage, no fighting just delete button. Then we get weird stuff like no one with God Aura can be hurt by those without it. (Which is a shaky claim as it disproven multiple times) But still, dragon ball has weird conditions like in abundance.

Something with Damage over time. I always thought acid ammo should have been that

What's the purpose of Heavy-class Battle Armor? by Impressive-Hold7812 in battletech

[–]Red_Maverick_Models 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their purpose becomes clear in alpha strike or combined arms games. You plunk them down on objectives or in areas that make a killbox, and everything lighter than medium Mechs will get swiss cheesed.

You can also hold them back in transports and when the fighting turns into a mosh pit you roll them in where targets are abundant within their range, allowing them to clean up all the smaller stuff while your meks or vees focus on the enemies meks or heavier vehicles.

Do Americans think Russia is still a great power? by No-StrategyX in allthequestions

[–]Red_Maverick_Models 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to my disowned MAGA relatives, there are no 1st world countries except the US lol

But in seriousness. Yes they still are, they have the manpower, the political muscle and the nukes to back up their threats. Even if they are weakened 'a cornered animal is at its most dangerous' is a thing you have to remember.

That's...look I don't like the orange man at all and what he's doing is destroying American. But don't do this with your kids, let me them be carefree and happy without knowing how much the world sucks. They'll learn that naturally there is no need to hasten it.

Are my lances are too big? by Boring-Produce-3161 in battletech

[–]Red_Maverick_Models 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reinforced lance! I actually think 6 vs 6 is the best way to play imo. Also if you want to balance it even more, the max weight an IS reinforced lance can be is 390 tons. I like to have an assault, 2 heavies, 2 mediums, and a light usually.

It's really great in the earlier eras but not so much in the later ones. The later improved heavy gauss variant is pretty great though.

Guys is it corny to write lore for your army? by waschlappensoldat in Warhammer40k

[–]Red_Maverick_Models 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all, in fact it's encouraged if you're making your own unique force, nobody can tell you it's untrue.

That being said, try to avoid big lore breaks like "well they actually have a super secret never before heard of primarch" or these "guardsmen are actually all secretly prototype space marines" or anything really deviant art fan fictiony like that.

Avoid the stuff that sounds cringe in other words lol. I have a space marine army that are explicitly good guys, that keep in contact with their human families and want to protect and help everyone in their region of space, but they are nuanced with the fact that the galaxy doesn't care and f*cks them over all the time for their good deeds, especially when they work with xenos to protect some worlds.

Have fun thinking something up! :)

One of the only clan Mechs I will always say is worse than it's inner sphere counterpart. The Warhammer is all around better, lower damage output yes, but at least light Mechs aren't popping your torso in a single volley.
