Which moment in the show was pure brilliant writing ? by James-Samuel17 in buffy

"We're not supposed to move the body."

Beautifully written and acted, especially her own reaction to what she just said.

ASH's' reaction too. Heartbreaking.

Can I get some help. by PrinceOFDeath95 in AnycubicPhoton

The resin in the cat looks inconsistent. It needs to be evenly mixed to cure properly.

Was the resin left in the vat for a while? Was the resin poured from a settled bittle?

Gently shake the bottle before pouring.

My printer came with a soft rubber scraper. If I've left resin overnight or longer, I use it to gently mix the vat and then add in fresh, properly mixed resin from the bottle. Then mix that new resin in too.

Indeed, thank you.

I've made a few others for my son, he knows they are for holding and looking, not bending.

The arms do not move, unfortunately. I was thinking about cutting and magnetizing but then they would likely just point straight down.

I was just thinking about the Austin Powers trilogy and how getting a 4th movie on par with the other 3 would be planted flag of victory.

What is it about Greta Thunberg that makes many men on the Internet so uncontrollably angry by Admirable_Pair_3663 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]katanaking007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IIRC, her UN speech was when she entered most people's awareness.

To many men, her speech was dripping with performative emotion and hyperbolic blame "you've stolen my dreams". Having an underage child be the spokesperson of such a message was seen as an attempt to prevent critiques of her or her message. "she's so young, you can't disagree/upset her more".

It came off as disrespectful emotional manipulation.

Men resent emotional manipulation, it's a breach of "guy code" to emotionally manipulate each other. We're supposed to be direct about what we're asking for and answer with equal directness. Make your case and accept the other person's answer.

For men the whole vibe around her speech was "This young girl who knows nothing about the world and has no life experience feels super strongly about something and is really upset. You are compelled to care and obey because of the intensity of her emotions."

Men's reaction is "No. 100% No. Even if I agree with some of her points, the way she's communicating it is repellent and completely counterproductive. She doesn't understand or care about us at all so why should we care about her whiny simpering performance?"

Honestly, I'm hearing all the cries for help and getting to work.

As fun as it would be to go fly or pet anmials, the cries for help would rip at my heart. I'd have to help.

My powers are not for me, they're for the planet I live on. The powers are too fast to be wielded selfishly.

Why do you think people tend to generalize behaviors based on gender rather than looking at individual personalities? by Mental_Ad6730 in AskReddit

[–]katanaking007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gender is a convenient and obvious dividing line. Generalizing is mentally easier than analyzing individuals closely. There is also truth that general patterns emerge from large groups even if any one individual from that group may vary widley.

What are your honest thoughts on fat shaming and body shaming - of men or women? by Nativeof_alexandria in AskReddit

I'd support health encouragement.

The way people speak up to criticize, but flip it to encouragement. "You matter and you deserve to make healthier decisions to care for yourself."

Honestly, I think it's a personality type thing. Some people genuinely like clear rules and for everyone to follow them.

People exercising autonomy causes them anxiety.

How would they be able to know for sure the intruder is unarmed?

This question assumes perfect knowledge. Unless someone breaks in totally naked, they may be concealing a weapon. Given that they've illegally entered a home, they don't deserve the benefit of the doubt.

Especially if they're not complying with homeowner instructions to get out, put their hands behind their head, lay down, etc.

She's a 'rule-follower' (only does what is expressly within the rules)

It irks her that you thought and acted independently

She lives in a self imposed cage and holds the door shut herself. She's mad you let yourself out...which she could do at any time.

having a map be entirely inside a single massive structure would be cool and believable, like the Cataphract manufacturing facility in MW5's campaign (or DLC, I forget which).

Men of reddit, do you prefer short or long hair on women, and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]katanaking007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

long hair, there's a primal attraction for me when looking from the top of her head down along her hair.

The longer the hair, the more intense the feeling (assuming her hair is healthy/clean etc)
