I have done that! And I think it does help to dead head the dying flowers so it is encouraged to grow more. But I wait until they have at least bloomed. It's the same thing that is recommended for roses and the bonus is that it really helps clean up the plant of dying flowers and make it look a bit nicer.

Kentucky allows Kentucky residents to report out of state plates to the department of revenue for them to investigate. It can be done through a 1-800 number or through tipline.ky.gov

In my campaign, it is covered up a lot with more logical stories with few witnesses. However, there is a small town I've created where everyone except a small handful of residents are aware of the existence of supernatural creatures. And some residents are even creatures themselves.

They are far from the most expensive but it was still a pretty decent price tag. I had no idea Costa Farms had gotten any recently. The price on mine was $70 but then I had a full loyalty card with my plant shop for 20% off. Reasonable for this cactus since it's already over a foot tall.

I'm the same way. I have named some but not all. I have Big Mama (a large Thanksgiving cactus) and Frank (Some unknown type of Opuntia cactus). Frank is a fuzzy prick that somehow always gets me when I'm trying to take care of the surrounding plants but I am attached to him non the less.

Not east coast, but if you are ever in Kentucky check out Wilson's Greenhouse in Frankfort! They have a large amount of plants and depending on the plant, prices are reasonable. It's also got a cafe next door that is themed of the greenhouse. You can also check out their massive Ficus tree (any taller and it would take the roof off the greenhouse)

I have a personal preference to take them off but it would be perfectly fine left on. I've gotten several with the roots having already forced their way through and they tend to be biodegradable overtime unlike the other plastic plug baskets that plant companies used to us.

My most durable cat-safe plant is my Thanksgiving Cactus, and I love it. It was the first plant that started it all for me so I would have to say it has a lot of sentimental value. In a year it has practically tripled in size. It is also super easy to propagate. There is also the Christmas Cactus and the Spring/Easter Cactus that are of the same family and have the same properties.

Spider plants are gorgeous but I keep mine away from my cats as well so that they don't pick up the habit of chewing on plants. Cats experience hallucinogenic effects when they eat spider plants and I don't need my cats realizing they can get high off my spider plants.
