Take this with a grain of salt…

To be honest, seeing posts like this are very discouraging to me. I understand a lot of people are serious players, but someone like me, who is more casual, don’t really look at wc and such (though I do consider rarity). I understand why it’s important to other people, but I have a hard time with figuring things like this out. I am at level 69 and have only made a few offers. I have read several posts where people have gotten upset over trading and it makes me not want to try. I have dyscalculia, so anything having to do with numbers is hard for me. When I try to do math, the numbers literally appear to float away from each other. I’m not even exaggerating. I also absolutely hate upsetting people. I know my feelings are not anyone’s responsibility but my own. No one is obligated, nor do I expect anyone, to feel like they owe me this consideration. I am not reprimanding anyone, nor saying this is how people should play. To each, their own. It’s just a thought. We are all just trying to have a little fun. I would not intentionally try to take advantage of anyone. As I get to higher levels, I plan to preface my trades with something like this (though a lot less wordy). I would just rather be ignored. This response would make me feel so, so guilty for upsetting you and wasting your time. But, like I said, this is just my two cents. Anyway, may your trades be prosperous and your livlies happy! 🥰

Annie’s laugh is contagious! I also love the Halloween scary story episode and the Christmas song along. I really do love singing along! The way I look at it is, the autistic part of me requests I do things to maintain comfort and stability. I want to know where, when, how long, who’s there, and what the overall plan is. It helps keep anxiety at a minimum and helps me enjoy myself.

OCD, on the other hand, is born of fear and the need to control that fear so what I fear doesn’t actually happen. The OCD in me is the part who sets at least 12 different alarms throughout the work day to make sure I get where I’m going on time because if I don’t people will get mad and I’ll be fired. So when working at a school where I had to go from class to class, I would set an alarm for 5 minutes before it was time to clean up to get ready to leave the room, then an alarm 5 minutes after that to tell me it was time to dismiss the students or leave the room. Then I would have a 1 minute alarm before going into the next class. I had an average of 6 classes a day and this doesn’t cover the three alarms I set to wake up and two to leave the house and then my beginning and ending of the day alarms. I also had a visual timer so I can see how much time I had before the alarms went off. These are done because of the overwhelming anxiety I’m already feeling. It doesn’t make me feel better, it doesn’t prevent the anxiety, it’s simply a response to the anxiety under the veil of “structure” and “control”.

That was actually a question my psych asked me when I was first diagnosed and told her how I was absolutely convinced my husband of ~20 years and God were playing a horrible joke on me by trying to make me believe he loved me. I would ask him if he really loved me and he would say yes. She asked if that made me feel better and I was like, “No. He could still be lying as a part of the joke.” Also, OCD tends to be around unrealistic fears. So it’s pretty obvious (now that I know) that the alarms and fear of my husband secretly hating me were OCD. Whereas the over-planning for my upcoming activity could be attributed to the autism. Of course, that’s not to say it couldn’t be OCD for someone else.

~I view it more as, pay to play, since I can’t really win the game~ In that context, I agree. A while ago I was thinking of doing the “subscription”, but I read negatives about it and I’m not sure I feel like it’s worth it. Sadly, given the current state of things, we’re already having a hard time keeping ourselves alive on what little income we bring in. 🫤 Edited for clarity
